Spend the night and had dinner, breakfast, lunch and drinks. The front desk staff were lovely, very helpful. It was a shame that when we ordered drinks they gave double without asking- thankfully we weren’t driving but it was expensive. For example two small bottles of water were over £6. It was very annoying getting doubles without being asked. Room was comfortable. All a bit dated with dark wood everywhere but clean and the bath was lovely, with plenty of hot water. Good air conditioning. Terrible hairdryer! Food was nice at breakfast. Dinner was disappointing with the veggie burger being a mushroom and a slice of sweet potato and not a burger. Meal and drinks at an event

Jul 1st, 2019

Came here as a guest on the British Precast night. Food nice, good service and bar staff very pleasant. Only downside, admittedly the bar by the entrance was quite busy, but the staff there did take a long while to prepare some drinks. I saw them sort of dashing about a bit behind the bar and prepared one drink at a time. Just an observation but the drinks were nice (cocktails!). TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Stayed at this hotel in February. We loved our luxury stay at the Marriott, it was in a really accessible location. The rooms were amazingly well designed. The beds were so comfortable. The spa showers were unreal and we really enjoyed the sauna. The staff were so accommodating. We had tea there which was reasonable priced and very tasty. We would 100% reckoned this hotel. Great experience!

Jun 17th, 2019

I stayed here for a week and really liked the entire facility. Though, the hotel is located just outside Leicester Town, it is close to the Motorway and Fosse Park so during your free time, you can shop till you drop. Rooms are well appointed and service overall is pretty crisp and welcoming. The Top Chef is from India who ensured we had a great gourmet experience. There was, however, one goof up in Banquets due to miscommunication but barring that, Leicester Marriott fulfilled all my requirements and the ops team continued to engage with us and offered continued support always. And by the way - its a high quality hotel with air-conditioning and better than other branded hotels in the city. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A good all-purpose hotel for business or leisure or wotever

Jun 12th, 2019

The Leicester Marriott is in the middle of an industrial area and a long way as far as I could tell from other amenities such as shops so it seems to be mainly aimed at the business traveller. I arrived at the hotel on a Saturday and was made welcome by efficient yet friendly reception staff and was pleasantly surprised that the cost was 104 pounds for the room only .... which seemed more than reasonable when I went to the room and found it was very well appointed. The hotel is modern in design with a big glass atrium. Must cost a fortune to heat ..... I believe winters in Leicester get chilly. One word of caution: when I had my meal i gave a tip of 10% only to find later that 12.5% had already been added so i got caught out. In any case 12.5% seems a bit steep and for that service should be impeccable. This writer normally gives 10% and in any case it seems rather presumptuous of management just to add 12.5 or anything else for that matter, automatically. Let the customer decide. Apart from that niggle I enjoyed the stay so much that on my return journey from Leeds I decided to stay there on the Thursday only to find the cost of the room was 175 pounds not the 104 I paid on the Saturday. OK I know its a business hotel so after I got over the shock I made polite apologies and headed off to the Premier Inn down the road. Pity. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
