Very enjoyable

Dec 15th, 2020

Currently staying at the Marriott hotel on business, my second stay in the past month, must say very enjoyable.Food , service etc is excellent !! Room is very nice , countryside /racecourse view would be more desirable ,than over the car park ,and better quantity of milk sachets in the room. But overall as above very good. Excellent as no-one their

We had a corner suite (room220 - through points earned) which would have been great on a track day but nonetheless it was a good room and spotless - only tip if they can clean the glass as it's looking a little tired and it's the perfect time in this slow period overall excellent and a nice pool - booking is a must of course TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very nice family room and excellent breakfast

Oct 27th, 2020

We stayed at this hotel last Saturday, after a family visit to Hever Castle. The family room was very comfy, with ample provision of tea and coffee supplies which was very important! The bathroom was spotless. I wasn't sure what breakfast would be like, now that there was no more buffet but Mr Calixte Chery at the restaurant was great, and made us feel special (especially the kids!) - thank you very much! The food was excellent - we all had a hot English breakfast and the quality was outstanding. All in all, would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for accommodation in this area. Nice hotel - shame about the restaurant COVID measures

Oct 13th, 2020

The room was very nice - good view and very clean. If it was just on the room it would be 4 or 5 award rating. However, here were issues on how your staff had been trained for COVID especially in the restaurant. This caused us to miss breakfast on the second day and not use it for evening meal as we weren't happy on the first morning breakfast. That day at breakfast, there were only about 3 tables full and the serving person tried to put us right next to them - definately not even a metre away. The knives and forks were already on the table - not recomended. The jug of milk and food plates were brought in the hand not on a tray, holding the handle on the jug. The server leant over us to take the plates - did not ask first. They also handed me back my knife by the handle when they took my toast plate. The butter on the toast plate had been laid out - fine on normal service, but it meant each packet had been touched by someone to do this. So overall we did not feel safe eating there. Also the entrance and exit being the same thin entrance was a bit strange when there was other doors not in use. Very good location for British Wildlife Centre TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Weekend Theme Park Break

Oct 9th, 2020

We stayed on a Saturday night in late September as part of a package with Chessington and were very happy with the experience. The COVID measures taken made the hotel feel safe and largely secure. Our only observation was that a few of the tables in the restaurant at breakfast could have been slightly further apart - they were not particularly close, but whilst sat in an almost empty restaurant for breakfast another guest picked the table right next to us and then sat in the nearest seat, less than 2m from my wife. Service in the hotel was excellent, the restaurant was very busy on the Saturday evening, so we had dinners sent up to our room, which arrived promptly and were hot and very good quality. Aside from the experience with the other guest sitting very close to our table, breakfast was really good - a wide cooked selection was available which was plated up by the chef (behind a screen), so really just like a buffet, but without the need to serve yourself. We had a very comfortable Double King room overlooking the racecourse, which is a lovely backdrop to wake up to. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the area.
