Review for customer service (not for the property)

Mar 24th, 2020

Sadly we had to cancel our reservation because we had to return quickly to the US before the borders of our home country closed during the Corona crisis. We so appreciate the hotel working with us to refund us, and their understanding in this challenging time. Definitely makes us want to make a new trip to stay there in the future! Great Hotel

Mar 21st, 2020

We love staying here! This is one of our favorite places to stay when visiting Tucson. We love the casitas and pick these whenever possible. It’s perfectly located, quiet, spacious, and the grounds are beautiful. The food is also great! We recommend Lodge on the Desert to all our friends and family when they are in Tucson. DO NOT GO HERE

Mar 17th, 2020

I will never stay here again and I recommend no one else staying here. I was charged an additional $150 for theft of 4 pillows and a blanket. They said I switched their pillows for older pillows. I would never do this. Management is not helpful one bit. If you like being accused of being a thief this is the place for you. First off, hotel pillows are gross and I would never want them in my home. Secondly, if there were old pillows in my room it means the room was not clean prior to my arrival. Last, when I arrived there was no one in the lobby and we had to wait at least 15 minutes for assistance. WORST HOTEL EVER! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Mid winter break

Mar 16th, 2020

A small, comfortable hotel with loyal staff and pro-active ownership. Returned for 3rd consecutive year and wasn’t disappointed. Good location near U of A and golf courses with a nice restaurant and bar on premises. Food is a bit overpriced, but it is tasty. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Perfect Accomodations in Tucson

Mar 15th, 2020

Our first trip to Tucson took us to the Lodge on the Desert. We prefer accommodations with a sense of history that reflects the locale which is what we found. Information and pictures on the website accurately represented the hotel and grounds which are located in a quiet neighborhood with easy access. Our two queen room was located in the original area and surprisingly large, including a sitting area, operating fireplace, and dressing area next to the bathroom. The bathroom provided plenty of counter space and separate bathtub and shower. Grounds were clean and included a lush lawn, beautiful cactus gardens, and a pool. Cielos, the on site restaurant, served delicious meals and drinks in a bright, quiet and comfortable setting. I must note that breakfast included with the room was better than cooked to order breakfasts. The large selection of breakfast items included fresh fruit, yogurt, muffins, bagels, a variety of toasts, scrambled eggs, sausage and ham, and home fries all deliciously prepared and nicely displayed. Wait staff were most congenial and attentive. As you may infer, Lodge on the Desert was perfect for us. We will return on out next trip to Tucson. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
