VERY Thin Walls

We spent eight nights at Lodges at Timer Ridge by Welk Resorts in Branson, MO. We stayed in a One Bedroom Villa. As far as our vacation we were happy with getting out of Kansas City for a week. The resort  provided a safe place to stay, swim, and spend outdoors. The staff was very nice. During our vacation we were traveling with two teenagers. They have a tendency of staying up later and sleeping in. Each morning the cleaning staff met in the room next to ours to either stock up supplies or clean their supplies. We never saw anyone staying in the room that was connected to ours. The walls were so thin we could hear them talking whenever anyone was present in the room. We were told that it would sleep five people. There was a king size bed and a pullout couch (1 single person mattress) in the bedroom. The couch in the main living area had a pullout couch (2 person mattress). During our stay there was no room service. When we needed anything we were told to call housekeeping but they did not answer the phone. I ended walking into the front office to request items and that worked best. The staff then dropped the requested items off at your door in a plastic bag. The pool was nice and clean. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Wrong Room

We spent 7 wonderful nights at Big Cedar in Ridgedale and decided to spend a couple of extra nights in the Branson/Tablerock area. We have 3 small children, so I thought the Welks Timber Lodges would be perfect with the Splashatorium and bigger rooms. We booked a 2 bedroom villa for over $500/night. The biggest issue we had is they gave us two 1 bedroom adjoining villas vs. the 2 bdrm we had booked. If our children were older, this would have been great. However since they are younger (ages 4/5/9), they were too scared to sleep in what felt like a separate hotel room to them. We had all 5 of us in one bed for 2 very long nights. The management told me to tell "corporate" in the survey and that was their resolution. There were other small things that were more annoying than anything but coupled with the room issue made for a bad experience. After swimming for 2 sessions (over 4 hours) we walked up a very big hill in wet swim clothes to our room and our keys did not work. When I called they first asked me to come down to the front desk to get new keys because they were busy. I said no, so they sent a maintenance person. We also did not know they were not providing housekeeping services due to covid until we arrived. I luckily had figured out via some comments on social media the pool area needed reservations and called several days in advance to reserve our times (they were filled when I got there). Just a lot of details that add up to me not ever going back to this property. The rooms were very clean and nice and the pool area was great for the kids, so that was a positive. Long updates

I had reservations to stay Welk resort and was told on the phone their was news about virous and what to do if you can't go on your vacation. When I got to the resort they told me it was OWNER UPDATE. When I called about my reservation she said it was not update, but when I show up it's OWNER UPDATE. So I did the update and told the rep I had family showing up 4:00 pm. My update was 2:20 pm. I told rep serveral times I have to go. 4:00 came and she kept talking and I told her I have to go. Finally left 4:20 pm and missed my family checking in. When they say it's only one hour for update it's never hour. Now they wanted us to buy more points. I came here to see my family not to listen over two hours to buy more points. If I knew it was update when I talk to rep on phone about my reservation I would never sign up for news about virus. Elite Resort. Beautiful grounds. Excellent Staff.

We spent a week here in early July. We were in a one bedroom suite. It was very spacious compared to other one bedroom suites that we have used elsewhere. We were ground level with a patio looking out over a grassy lawn. Very quiet and lovely place to sit and read. Kitchen was well stocked. The suite has a two burner stove but no oven. The villa has an oven, I believe, and is slightly larger. Lodges is located approximately halfway between the Titanic and the fish hatchery. Excellent facilities; indoor and outdoor pools, mini golf, etc., but be aware that there is a daily resort fee. Planned activities each day, as well. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Dirty room, terrible service.

*4:00 check-in time, room wasn't ready until 4:45. *Front desk people didn't have their masks on their faces. Wiped nose with bare hand then handed me the room keys. *Booked room for five people, room only had accommodation for 2, had to call front desk. *Dirty tissue behind night stand. *Room keys stopped working on day two of five night stay, had to go to front desk, they had already checked us out. *Mold growing in shower. *Dust and cobwebs in room. *Chairs are filthy and stained. *Dirty kitchen sink. *Walls paper-thin, could hear neighbor's phone conversations and TV and other neighbor's kids screaming.
