Good hotel

Sep 22nd, 2019

Pros: - Don't be fooled by the exterior -- Rooms are actually nice. They are stylish with flat-screen TV, mini-fridge, and coffeemaker. - Great customer service. As we know, there's nothing like the bitterness of an uncomfortable room. My first room was cold and noisy (I guess something was wrong with my heater), I asked to switch my room and they were really nice about it. My second room was as clean and big as the first one, but quiter and warmer. - Great location in Downtown Baltimore. - Complimentary WiFi. Cons: - Parking is an issue. Expensive Valet parking and far self-parking (2 blocks away). As an Expedia +gold member, I was eligible for free self-parking -- Still two blocks away?! That's a big no-no specially when on a snowy day. And that's why I'm giving them four . TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Awesome service

Very old school Baltimore! Very charming and non pretentious with a lot of character. Our server Joey (Gavino) was an amazingly attentive person - will come back just for him! Food was okay - sweet potato fries are to live for :) TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Group Reservations Review

Sep 17th, 2019

I had business clients stay Sept. 11-15 for an expo at the convention center, and I wanted to send a shout out to Kevin Blanton in the Group Reservation Department for going above and beyond in accommodating the needs of my clients, and making things as easy on me as possible. He was very communicative from start to finish, and I cannot thank him enough for all of his hard work. If you ever have the pleasure of working with him, you'll see what I mean! The hotel location was great for my clients in getting back and forth to the convention center easily. It was a great experience! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Fine stay, disappointing check-in experience

Sep 17th, 2019

The hotel overbooked rooms for the weekend so our booked room (2 queens) was given away and we were given the only remaining room in the hotel (1 king bed) for 4 guests. While that news was disappointing on its own (given we specifically booked 2 queens knowing we'd have 4 guests), the front-desk staff were not apologetic or empathetic. We were told we could take the king bed + a cot or figure out an alternative solution on our own. Given this was the hotel's fault, I would have expected the staff to be more understanding and to provide us with additional options. We were there as part of a wedding block and even that didn't get us any more courtesy! On top of that - when we did receive the cots, we were told there were no more pillows or towels so we had to make do with what we were given for a room with one bed intended for 2 guests. The rest of our stay was uneventful and we made do with what we were given, but overall a disappointing stay/service. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good location

we took the train from the airport and stop 3 blocks away of this hotel. a 10 minutes walk and you are at the harbor. Good pub downstairs, great breakfast from the bakery and decent room for the price. The neighborhood is the turn off. We didn't go out at night. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
