We stayed at Los Abrigados Resort September 18-25, 2020. We booked the room through Armed Forces Vacation Club. I had seen other reviews stating that the rooms and resort were not clean or "covid" safe. Perhaps that was true in March, but in September the resort had its process down pat. The check in is smoot and contactless. It was obvious that our room had been cleaned and all linens were fresh. As a precaution, we wiped down the room again. There isn't any room service due to covid, but just call and they will bring you anything you need without question or hesitation. The pool area was clean with pairs of lounge chairs nicely spaced 6 feet apart. Sedona mandates masks, so bring a mask to wear as you move about the resort and town. All-in-all, our stay was very enjoyable and comfortable. We will continue to stay here every time we are in Sedona. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Beautiful resort and great location with amazing scenic views! Good restaurants- fine dining and casual eatery on site and several activities. Relaxing pool and hot tub area. We loved coming here and will be back again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Had long wanted stay at the Los Abrigados Resort. Felt the room was not clean and seemed dank; found a few bugs. Doesn't seem property is being kept up - lot of moss in the pond. Few indications of special cleaning efforts due to COVID in room other than a removeable wrapper around tv remotes. Room was large with separate bedroom and good kitchenette. Wi-fi was weak at best. Staff at front desk were friendly and wearing masks behind protective clear plastic. Ate at Spoke and Wheel but menu was very limited and no notice given on website of limited menu. Food was ok, but not great. Overall could have stayed at a much nicer hotel for the $730 we spend on Labor Day Weekend for two nights. The don't disclose all of the resort fees well. Staff is wonderful, very responsive. Room was clean and spacious with the right amount of amenties. The grounds were clean and really beautiful. The Spoke and Wheel restaurant had AMAZING food - the ambiance left a little to be desired, but we chalk that up to COVID. Overall, lovely! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Rocky start in Sedona ☹️

It’s with great dissatisfaction that I have to come to this site to write a review a day after returning home from my trip to Sedona. It’s only fair that other travelers be made aware and to possibly help the hotel realize there is work that needs to be done. Nothing is perfect, I get it. But, clearly some guests are not pleased (me included) from the reviews that are listed here. This is shameful. Diamond, I thought had a great reputation and should do all they can to do better. That being said, I appeared at the hotel for check in at 3:15 ... we had to wait til about 4 to speak with an agent and was told that a room is not ready and to pls wait about 20 more minutes. Was advised that a text would soon follow when the room was ready. About an hour later, The text never came and reappeared back in the hotel lobby. Long story short... the room key cards were provided and my daughter and I arrived at the room location. To my dismay, the room required an actual key which we were not made aware of nor did I have in my possession. Ugh! We were back and worth like a lost chicken wondering if maybe we were at the wrong room. I stopped an employee who was passing by who seemed eager to help. He said that he would go to the front lobby to advise them of the oversight and grab the key for us. Finally success! Upon entering... it was a tiny studio efficiency with one double bed which seemed fine except I was traveling with my adult daughter who prefers to no longer sleep with her mom. I called the front desk to request a rollaway bed and was refused because it was considered to be a fire hazard in the tiny room. So, we decided to just deal with it... could be worse. Upon our second night at 2:00 am exactly... the lights went out completely throughout the entire section of the Morris House... which is considered to be the “Inn at Los Abrigados” a sort of separate area on the same grounds as the hotel. We were abruptly awoken at this time since the extremely loud AC unit that delayed us from being able to fall asleep quietly For the first 2 nights came to a roaring stop. What! Complete and utter darkness in the middle of the night at a hotel that claims to be top notch in service and expertise. I have travelled to and have stayed in many 3-5 star hotels and never experienced this. My daughter and I were petrified. The room was in a hideaway corner of the property away from most. Very scary. I called the front desk right away and had to ask if security could ride or take a stroll by to make sure that all was well. We were however offered another room which was a much better accommodation. They don’t owe us an explanation as to what may have caused the outage ...but at the very least should have offered one to ease our minds. 🤔 TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
