Gaming Fun during the midst of the pandemic
Sep 20th, 2020
I have been going to MGM National Harbor for a number of years now and I enjoy the gaming, the food and the atmosphere. Given the pandemic, MGM has taken steps to help to ensure that their casino is as safe as possible. Patrons are required to wear face masks and the casino has numerous hand sanitizers throughout their facility. The casino strives to keep restrooms clean and it has put in place areas where visitors can wash and dry their hands. Overall, I have been pleased with the steps that MGM National Harbor has taken to make things as safe as possible for their guests. Social distancing is encouraged and table games and slot machines are made safer by the installation of sturdy plastic partitions to keep players separated. So, I am very pleased with the steps that MGM National Harbor has taken to help ensure that visitors and employees are as safe as possible and I encourage management to build upon these measures going forward, including installing advanced air circulation systems and automatic systems to check visitors and employees temperatures on a continuous basis. Having stated that I am pleased with the steps that MGM has taken to ensure the safety of its guests, I do have some recommendations going forward. First, the parking at MGM National Harbor, especially from Friday through Sunday and during promotions, is a challenge. I visited MGM this past Friday, September 18, 2020 and it took a great amount of frustration and effort to find a parking spot because Casino management closed level 3 self-parking and it did not offer valet parking for its guests, including premium players. While I clearly understand that closing parking levels and not offering valet parking is a measure to promote safety amidst the pandemic, this situation forces visitors to have to fend for themselves to find a place to park and to face an unsafe condition of cars driving haphazardly looking searching for a place to park. I have had to face this parking fiasco several times now and I believe that it is incumbent upon MGM National Harbor to take steps to resolve this problem by opening up level 3 parking and restoring valet parking for at least its hotel guests and premium players. Having limited parking capacity, especially during weekends and during promotions and other venues, has forced visitors to fend for themselves and to drive around needlessly and haphazardly to find a parking space. With more visitors coming to MGM National Harbor, it is incumbent upon senior leadership to re-open level 3 and to restore valet parking on weekends and during major promotions. Visitors should not have to drive around in circles looking for a place to park and to have to face an unsafe parking situation that is not being properly managed for the number of visitors coming to MGM National Harbor. I understand that closing level 3 is for safety reasons and limited elevator capacity, but having hundreds of drivers jockeying around and frustrated with no place to park invites accidents, possible altercations by frustrated drivers, and disenchantment. MGM National Harbor can and should do much better to manage parking and to open up all of the parking levels on weekends and during major promotions so that visitors can avoid this parking debacle that should have never taken place. 3.75/5 Casino Experience Review only
Sep 11th, 2020
This is a very big casino that does have a lot to offer. Just be warned coming here on a weekend night is a risk right now because of how many people they let into the casino. It was pretty much full wall to wall at times and social distancing was pretty much impossible. What I did like was the hand washing stations located on the casino floor. They are the only casino I've seen do something like that. I enjoyed their collection of slots however I found it difficult to use the free play they put on my card. They need to find a simpler way for people to transfer and use their free play like other companies do. I did have a fun time playing here and the slots were kind to me. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

MGM, I think not...
Aug 31st, 2020
Very disappointed with my stay. Numerous problems. This place doesn’t come close to the other MGM hotels I’ve stayed with. A rewards program that is totally lacking, missed wake up calls, poor lay out, and a staff that seems generally disinterested. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
