handy for slopes

Feb 24th, 2020

Not bad at all, we really enjoy it. We have been 4 people and sleeping on the sofa can be a little bit uncomfortable. However all other facilities were great and apartment was spotless. Very closed to the slopes and to the restaurants. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Did not live up to standard of FH&R

Feb 22nd, 2020

While the people were nice, rooms and location nice.....there were certain things that should not have occurred in a high caliber, fine hotel. The first night, hot water ran out and only Luke warm shower available for post skiing- not good. My wife had a terrible experience with the spa lady at the front desk. She said she was very Stacy and flaky. The massage was great but the spa was nothing special. I actually ordered a spa treatment for the both days we were there and when she arrived the next day they didn’t have the second treatment booked. They were definitely disorganized at the spa. Lastly, she asked if she should get a drink at bar and bring to the hot tub. They told her not to worry, they will bring to her. Of course, they neglected to add it would cost 6 more bucks to deliver. Not cool. So would probably stay elsewhere when we come back. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great Experience

Feb 21st, 2020

Hotel is well maintained and very comfortable. Close to the gondola. The best ski in and ski out service and staff! Staff is friendly and professional. Concierge was very helpful. We enjoyed our stay and plan to stay there again TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice location...property left a lot to be desired.

Feb 20th, 2020

Nice location, family oriented. Not for couples...kids running amok in the bar/lounge, hot tubs, fire tables. Seems to be an uniformed transient staff that wasn't able to answer local area questions. The restaurant (fire tables) are closed during apres ski which is weird for a ski resort and you have to self-serve. Some grumpy staff at bar. Really not up to a "resort" experience. Fine if you are satisfied with clean rooms, the basics, and comfortable with lack of a customer-centric experience. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not Auberge Standards Anymore

Feb 20th, 2020

This was our 4th time staying at this property and it was our worst experience. They are obviously short staffed or having management issues. Auberge comes with a very high standard that they just aren't meeting it anymore. Rooms are needing an update (ours smelled like soured dish rags and had things not working) and the Room Service/Restaurant is a disaster. My son has a severe nut allergy and after asking over and over about the Pumpkin Muffin being nut free, they served him a Banana Nut muffin. I went from wanting to buy a place here to now wanting to check out other options in Mountain Village. Unfortunately Madeline has turned into just an average hotel with an Auberge nightly rate.
