Escape from Hurricane Laura

I evacuated from Hurricane Laura and was staying at another hotel on Old Spanish Trail when I saw the hotel and the rates listed on the hotel bus in the parking lot. I immediately checked out of my hotel and it was the best decision I ever made. The hotel was immaculate and the staff was professional. They checked on me every day and inquired about my well-being. The free breakfast was delicious and the housekeeping staff cleaned my room every time I requested it. I cannot say enough about this hotel. This will be my hotel every time I come to Houston. Friendly service from friendly people. This is a good short-stay place.It is safe, clean, and somewhat affordable. The suite location is also an asset for anyone who has medical appointments or any kind of business in TMC. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER 

Worst medical visit ever

Traveled to this hotel for a week's stay due to my husband having cancer and it was near the hospital. They do not clean your room until you request it! Aside from that everything was OK until the day we were checking out when a woman walked into our room as we were packing and getting ready to leave. My husband was rolling his CBD leaves which helps alleviate the side effects of cancer so he could smoke on the way home a 4 hour drive but the woman jumped the gun and automatically assumed it was marijuana and that he was going to smoke in the room! The front desk clerk called and said she was going to bill us for smoking in the room, I told her come check we hadn't smoked but she came up and said it smells like marijuana. After assuring her he hasn't smoked in the room she said the fire alarm went off but that was a lie cause all he did in the room was roll his CBD. We were on camera all hours of the night in the smoking area where he burned his cigarettes and CBD. The lady cursed us then billed my account 91.50 but it clearly states the smoking policy is a 250.00 fee. So you just charged me for an extra day...I was already there a week you didn't collect enough money? This was a horrible thing to go through right after being diagnosed we won't be back! Nothing luxurious but it was clean and comfortable and a great price for the area. Staff were very friendly. Complementary hot breakfast was a nice touch. This last sentence is to hit the 200 character minimum. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The GM is the best there is - so helpful and friendly. The hotel is very comfortable and very clean! Breakfast is nice and big and tasty. Will always book there for our visits to MD Anderson hospital. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
