This hotel has been one of my favorites -- great staff, nice rooms, and terrific location. But the rooms and halls are getting shabby. And I went to the lobby on a late Sunday afternoon to have tea and make some business calls. Before I could order or make a call, there was a child in a toy car -- provided by the hotel -- motoring around the lobby making a loud grinding noise. For a 4 star hotel that used to cater to business clients and used to create a serene atmosphere for afternoon tea, this was bizarre. I asked about it at the from desk and was told the car was a new addition to the lobby. Very disappointing and not sure I want to hold future business meeting here, TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Luxury last night in Boston.....

Jun 14th, 2019

We stayed for one night before flying back to the UK, we had arranged a late check out for 4pm which gave us the most of the day. Our experience was excellent, all of the staff we encountered were friendly and efficient. Our room was well appointed, extremely comfortable and quiet being at the rear of the building. We used the fitness room and spa which were both to a high standard. We also met the two golden retrievers who were lolling in the lobby and appear to be a regular feature. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The amount of issues I encountered throughout my stay at the Mandarin in Boston alone should be indicative of the quality of this so-called "luxury" property, but the incompetence and unwillingness to help rectify these issues - ALL of which were the fault of the hotel - only further emphasize my point. Construction at all hours of the night, loud people in the hallways (which would be fine if security had not been contacted multiples times), and a general lack of professionalism have solidified my opinion that there are better, more "luxury" options in Boston that won't cost you an arm and a leg. Best Hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

This was the second time I have stayed at the Mandarin Oriental in Boston and it just goes from strength to strength. From the minute you arrive to the minute you depart you feel like royalty. The rooms are well kept, beautiful and spacious. House keeping does a wonderful job and the nightly turn down service is amazing. I noticed they have changed their toiletries since my last visit and this was a much welcomed change as I feel these new toiletries appeal to the masses opposed to the old ones that I felt were a little to manly. I was so happy to see the managers gorgeous dogs in the foyer this morning as it was nice to know he was still around doing an amazing job running this hotel. I highly recommend a stay at the Mandarin Oriental Boston if you wanted to be treated like a princess for a few days. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The Madarin Oriental hotel is ascetically exquisite. Their staff’s attention to detail was thoroughly impressive and greatly appreciated. One of the many examples of our pleasure with the Mandarin Oriental staff, was when my wife and I returned back to our room on our first night out to dinner celebrating our Anniversary. Without a request, we arrived to our room with chocolate covered strawberries and a very romantic trail of rose petals from our tub to our bed. Needless to say, we passionately followed this trail. “ Being in love never goes out of style” and with so much attention to detail and compassion either will the Mandarin Oriental Hotel.
