Beautiful view, but thats where it ends

Jun 16th, 2019

We stayed in Miami 3 nights then went away for business and back to Miami for 4 nights. The first 3 nights we had booked the Four Seasons and on the way back Mandarin Oriental to see which one we would prefer and use next time. From check in at Mandarin you feel you are just one of many. There is nothing done to make you fee remotely special. Our bags took 3 phone calls to arrive (90min after being in the room.) The view in the room is great. We had a nice balcony and great city and bay view. The room itself is a bit dated. No usb plugs We are MO members so we get some comps. Breakfast is a nice buffet. Service isn’t their priority all over the hotel its adequate but not pleasurable. But the worst has to be valet. We called from our room for the car it was t brought up it. The next day the attendant claimed that there was no car under our room number. 3rd day they didn’t believe us as we had a picture of the ticket but not the actual ticket but we were able to give room number and booking name. What the hotel forgets that this car valet is the first thing people see when they arrive and the last memory when they leave. If service is important to you i wouldn’t choice this hotel but go to the four seasons. But the view is slightly better in MO. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Relatively upscale quiet and nicely tucked away on Brikell Key. Rooms are worth it. Service is excellent bar area upscale. Away from the beach loonies and easy walking distance to downtown where you can access City Center shops galore and many decent eateries. Four and 1/2 stars TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Weekend Anniversary

Jun 11th, 2019

Celebrating our 32 anniversary at our favorite Hotel , top of the line ! This establishment is like my Platinum Amex card ,never leave home with out it . The Mandarin is always on the ball , they make sure you are number 1 and always eager to assist. We are from Tampa and when we like to get a weekend we always head to the Mandarin in Miami . Ok but expected more

Jun 10th, 2019

First day there my friends credit card was stolen at the poolside while we were in the pool. Next day another woman had her entire purse stolen. Put a damper on the trip being that we had to always be hyper aware of this issue. Restroom at the pool was not well kept and was dirty each time I used it. Poolside chairs with bird poop on them .. again for a 5 star hotel I just expected more. Service was good .. very nice people. Very pricey to eat and drink here. Rooms were very nice but we opted to not have our room cleaned because we were paranoid of theft. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
