My experience at this hotel merits a pretty solid 3 stars. We (my mother and I) stayed for four nights. Location is decent- right across the street from Forsyth Park, with a tour bus stop quite close ( super convenient for a hop on/hop off bus!). Most things are within one mile of the hotel, so fairly walkable. Check in went smoothly; associates were friendly and masked appropriately. Valet service was prompt, and I noted that they did wipe down things inside the car after the brought it around front. The room was clean enough and definitely large enough. Beds were reasonably comfortable, and it was generally quiet at night. We used room service for one meal (dinner) and found the food (pimento stuffed chicken) to be tasty. Due to the pandemic, housekeeping is not routinely servicing guest rooms. However, they WILL clean your room if you request it. The front desk staff forgot to mention this to us during check in. After our first night, we were told this information, and we subsequently requested that our room be serviced for the duration of our stay; front desk staff told us that they would add us to the list. Our room was not serviced. Not once during our stay. Yes, we could have repeatedly called to remind them, but for a hotel of this caliber (and price point), I expect one request to be enough. No turn down service, which was sort of a bummer. As others have noted, the bathroom layout is weird. The bathroom is certainly large, with a deep bathtub one one side, and a small shower and toilet on the opposite wall. The toilet is enclosed with a clear glass door that doesn’t do much for privacy, especially if you forget to close the large half-doors by the bathtub (which, when open, allow you a glorious vision of your roommate using the toilet. If that’s your thing). Overall, it was just ok, neither the best nor the worst place I’ve stayed. If I find myself back in Savannah, I probably wouldn’t stay again, because there are a lot of other options. To be fair, I might not be so critical except that I had just enjoyed a superb hotel experience in Charleston (also during the pandemic) and in direct comparison, the Mansion fell short. From the moment we drove up, we received top class service. I must commend Warren for his kindness and exceptional treatment with our luggage and valet service. The room and hotel were so much better than expected. Pictures don’t do this place justice. Will definitely be back! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The Mansion on Forsyth Park was great. The moment we walked in greeted by Troy and Patrick, both extremely helpful. Michelle in the bar was very accommodating with great recommendations. The room was so sweet with an electric dimmable candelabra and chandeliers- very romantic. The view from the hotel was fabulous with the park and the hotel location was within walking distance of a great coffee shop and restaurants. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great one night visit over Labor Day. Very attentive staff. Cudos to Matt and Aristane for their positive attitude and customer service. Overall the Mansion on Forsyth Park is a very good choice for an overnight stay in Savannah. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
