Marival Resort & Suites Nuevo Vallarta

As its name suggests, Marival Resort & Suites Nuevo Vallarta is located in Nuevo Vallarta, a Mexican resort area that sits less than 10 miles northwest of Puerto Vallarta. This all-inclusive property woos families and couples alike with its ample amenities, which range from kids and teens clubs to a spa to four pools (including one with a swim-up bar). Recent guests were particularly fond of the resort's beach, where travelers have access to free water sports equipment like kayaks, sailboats and boogie boards. However, previous visitors had mixed feelings about the six on-site eateries. Some loved their meals at all of the dining venues, while others said the food was subpar at best. For those who prefer to dine off-site, a few restaurants are available within walking distance of the property. After a day at the beach or exploring Nuevo Vallarta, travelers can unwind in one of the resort's 497 accommodations. Spread throughout the main building, 11 villas and two Mediterranean-inspired towers, each guest room and suite boasts neutral decor with colorful accent linens and artwork, plus perks like a balcony or terrace, a stocked minifridge, Wi-Fi access (for a fee) and a satellite TV.
