Solid property - great staff

I stayed at this property 2 separate times in October for work visits (I stay in Marriott’s 150+ nights per year). The staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very nice, new and clean, albeit somewhat small (but not cramped). I will definitely stay here in the future. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice hotel.

Stayed only one night but overall good visit. Nice hotel.. Centrally located. Staff was very pleasant and helpful with restaurants advice. Was surprised that in the middle of a pandemic there was a convention going on but we avoided the groups of people (all wearing masks, thankfully). TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We were attending a wedding.

Check in on August 7th - staying one night. Upon entering the hotel we were impressed. Pretty and clean. We were attending a wedding and had 2 queen beds in our room. My daughter was in the wedding so we had a lot of getting ready and showers and hair and make up going on. Early in the morning on the 8th we were out of toilet paper (?) not sure why but called down and they immediately brought up a roll. Great. Went to the ceremony came back and there was time between that and the reception. All towels were used of course, and room was not cleaned which is common to not clean now (I have traveled a bit during Covid) unless requested. I called down they said we couldn't even request to have it cleaned they would not clean our room during the stay. I asked for more towels as i knew we would shower again in the AM. They said they would not bring towels we had to come get them. They said they are not aloud to deliver anything to rooms. Hmmmmm....a nice hotel like this....will bring toilet paper but not towels. This by the way is unusual! Most hotels will still bring you fresh towels when you need them. After the wedding my daughter wanted to shower - SO went downstairs to get towels - explained his unhappiness and frustrated left with towels. The security followed him up and knocked on our door. Now, we were exhausted, tired and sweaty from our long day. Just us in the room! Security said they got a noise complaint from our room. Mind you we didn't even have the TV on. We were getting ready for bed. We were shocked and said it must have been another room. Security insisted it was our room. I should have wrote his name down. My husband shut the door on him and could not believe they were treating us this way. He knocked again and told us we had to leave. In my 50 plus years I have never been kicked out a hotel. I asked my husband if I could talk to the man and explained our frustration and after thinking about it...he let us stay. Oh...so the next day we ran out of shampoo and they happily brought us shampoo and didn't even ask but brought extra towels. That security guy was horrible. We were not college kids having a party.....we are the customer. We try to be patient as this is a trying time for all....but realize we are also paying the same amount for less services when we come to your hotel...the least you could do is be nice. We will not be visiting this hotel again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Stress free

we stayed for my daughter's pagent, and the worker's were amazing, kind, caring even the cleaning crew was so tentative to our needs. It was crazy busy but they put us on the service elevator knowing we had a deadline at different events in the hotel. I will always go back here. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The company does not care about their staff

The staff are great! But they do r protect their staff, which I turn, how much do they care about our health. There were 30 plus people in the lobby, they don’t supply masks for ANY of their staff- including housekeeping, and they haven’t even bothered to install plexiglass at the check in area... meanwhile, Iowa is Is in the top 12 of states of having hot spots... so irresponsible for this franchise!
