Awesome stay - awesome hosts

Mar 5th, 2020

Disclaimer: I am a Marriott premium member. I stayed at the Marriott Marquis in March for business. Both the hotel itself and the staff are absolutely amazing. I would first like to call out Angela, Christopher, Cooper and Tabitha for their excellent customer service during my stay and ask that Management recognize them for their above-and-beyond service. The hotel is relatively new and this is my first stay in it and will not be my last. The rooms are laid out well with ample electricity for everything you need to plug in. I was able to connect my traveling Roku to the TV and was able to seamlessly stream for both business and music without a flaw. Note, however, the USB plug next to the bed does not seem to be able to charge tablets well, though that could be my tablet not liking the charger. The exercise area is huge and well stocked. The machines such as treadmills and weight machines are all in good working order. Nothing has been abused in the workout room. The bed was comfortable and a Marriott standard bed. I slept well during my stay. The M-Club is amazing with more than snacks during the dinner hour. Well enough for a decent meal and a good selection of beverages as well. There is a mini-food court on the property as well as the standard Marriott restaurant. Uber arrival and departure from the front door is not a problem whatsoever. Cabs are also available for ground transportation. All in all - excellent stay and I will be back here again when I need to work for my client nearby. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Terrific connected hotel to McCormick Place

Mar 1st, 2020

My stay at the Marriott Marquis Chicago exceeded my expectations. The hotel is connected to the convention center and walking distance to the Prairie Historic District. There there are options for self park and valet (also convenient to public transportation). The hotel is new, modern and service oriented. Rooms are nice sized and well appointed. I also loved the view of the lake from my room and from the large windows at the end of the hallway. The nicest surprise? A huge and well equipped fitness center. Plus the team reached out to me before I arrived to see how they could improve my experience prior to arrival. Impressive TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Outstanding

Great place. Here for business meeting. Place was awesome. Service was impeccable. Meeting Rooms were large and spacious . Chairs in meeting rooms were comfortable. Food that was served was good and fresh. Bar downstairs was nice. Room was very nice with a great view of the lake. Only issue is the couch and bed are very low to the ground. Pretty hard for a guy with bad knees. But clean and fresh will describe the room. Bathroom was immaculate. Love the location. Will be back for sure. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice long weekend stay.

Feb 22nd, 2020

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We were a little worried prior to check-in due to self-park being blocked and valet being full. Upon check-in, we explained that there was no where to park. Staff found us a parking space via valet and comped the first night. Normally, valet is $60/day and self-park &30/day. This hotel is within close proximity to the McCormick Place. This is a plus during cold/rainy months to avoid being swept away in the “windy city”. The M Lounge was nice due to food/drink options and size. Breakfast is served til 9AM, appetizers start 6PM ish and desserts start at 7:30PM. My only criticism with M Lounge is that night staff didn’t wipe down tables. We noticed last night crumbs on our table at breakfast. The room was nice with a beautiful view. We were on the 31st floor. The room was comfy with a mini fridge and plenty of USB ports!!! The first night all was quiet but our second night our neighbors partied until 2:00 AM. I can’t fault the hotel for rude guests. House cleaning was inconsistent with cleaning times. One day our room was not cleaned til 5:45 PM. The next day staff wanted to start cleaning at 9:15 AM. I took off a star due to dirty tables at M Lounge, lack of neighboring restaurant options and inconsistent times of room being cleaned. I would stay at this hotel again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great Stay

No issues whatsoever.......the whole check in process was completely automated and they are swift about handling any issues. All the staff seemed friendly and the breakfast and other meals provided there were awesome. Beds are pretty comfy and the cleanliness of the rooms are superb. I would definitely recommend this place. I was staying here for the NBA 2020 All Star game. Will definitely stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
