Below par Marriot

Jul 24th, 2020

I tend to stay at Marriott hotels quite often and this did not seem to meet the typical standard. To start, the parking was a hassle with a small garage, tight spaces and long walk to the hotel. The lobby was nice and staff was friendly. The rooms were a disappointment. Not appointed as well as most Marriotts are. I felts I was at a Days Inn motel or something. The AC did not work great either. Even with it cracked to the lowest temp it was until 10 pm when it started to cool off. The downtown location was nice but I would not stay here again. Disappointing

Apr 6th, 2020

I tend to hold Marriott to a high bar, since their brand is known for excellent customer service and unbeatable, clean rooms. I was really disappointed about my stay here. I was in town for a wedding, expecting to be on the same floor as others in our party, but for some reason we were placed on a floor with groups of college students who don’t understand courtesy when people are trying to sleep. Moreover, my room did not have complimentary earplugs as they noted on the sign on the dresser. I was 3 months pregnant at that time, and I was part of a wedding party, hoping to get some rest for the long day ahead. Not even close. I called the front desk multiple times, and the college students would not stop going in and out of each other’s rooms, slamming doors, congregating in the hallways. The front desk told me that they were going out, so the noise should quiet down. This was around midnight. Three hours later, the college kids come back and are as loud as ever. Why doesn’t this hotel have a noise policy for quiet hours of the night ? Why didn’t they care about the other guests who wanted peace and quiet? For a Marriott, this was really disappointing. It could have been better. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Amazing Experience

Mar 7th, 2020

Very often do you ever really get to experience home away from home. From the warm smiles of the valet drivers upon arrival/check-in, to the hospitality at the M-Lounge, and the cozy-relaxed vibe of the hotel lobby bar. This was more then just a stay at any hotel...it was a true Marriott experience! As a loyal Gold member, staying with Marriott time after time is a constant reminder why I choose no other hotel brand when I travel! This is what is should always be about! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Best ever!

My family and I have spent the last 10 years traveling for softball. We only stay at Marriott or Hilton properties. Tonight, we felt like we found our home away from home at the Courtyard downtown Orlando Marriott. Eric Williams exceeded our expectations by providing us with all of our wants and more. We are beyond thrilled with the customer service and our room and plan to stay her many times over the next 4 years ! Way to go Eric!!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great business hotel!

Mar 2nd, 2020

I stay in a Marriott around 100 nights a year, so have some experience with them. I stayed at this one last week for work, and have nothing but good things to say. 1. Great elite lounge! Good food for breakfast and dinner, polite and courteous staff, and even a sparkling water machine. 2. Great gym—even includes weights. 3. Rooms are spacious and comfortable; I never had to wait for an elevator to get to mine either. 4. Convenient location—it’s within a few blocks of downtown Orlando restaurants and nightlife. 5. Onsite hotel bar is great—food and drinks are good and reasonably priced(including a great happy hour with free food), and the sports bar theme makes it a great place to hang out even alone. Not a “resort style” hotel by any means like others in the area, but a great place to spend the night for business or a visit. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
