Simply the best

Mary Modlin the front desk manager is wonderful. The room was beyond my dreams. The two bedrooms were huge. The bathroom was bigger than most European apartments. Will return. There is a Kroger and several great restaurants near by. There is as a shopping mall. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Absolutely fabulous!

We needed to stay one more night in Hilton Head and reserved the Marriott in Shelter Cove. We were awed by the three balconies and two bedrooms. The unit had a whirlpool tub in the master bedroom and a gas fireplace in the living room. We wished we would have stayed here for the week. We will in the future. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Unwanted & Unexpected Visitor

Nov 25th, 2019

#1 - I have Titanium status and my profile preferences indicated high floor, away from elevator. We were given a first floor room right next to the elevator. #2 - We returned to our room one evening and housekeeping had not attended to our room. Beds weren’t made and dirty towels remained on the floor in the bathroom. #3 - We had a visitor crawling across the floor as we were watching TV. We got a picture of him, and I posted it here. In the Northeast, we call these guys roaches. The front desk attendant said it was just a palmetto bug that came in from the cold. No big deal, right? We left this unwanted visitor trapped in the glass for housekeeping to take care of tomorrow after we check out. We will not be staying here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Wonderful activities list

Nov 16th, 2019

I was thrilled to get a suite in the top floor of the Pelican building as I requested. Check in and all requests were handled in a friendly, prompt manner. Maybe my Marriott Bonvoy status was noticed. The weather for the last 5 days of the week was cold, windy, and/or rainy, so nobody was outside. Fortunately, there are a number of good adult activities. Several of them involve alcohol, but no driving is needed. Examples include trips to a local brewery and distillery. When the weather is nice, the marina is a pleasant walk away from the resort. Same for the shopping area along the William Hilton Parkway. Easy bike riding if one wants to rent a bicycle for a nominal price. As noted in other reviews, the buildings need some renovation. But everything works, the rooms are clean and the grounds are well maintained. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Needs refreshiing

Nov 10th, 2019

The staff was nice and friendly but the property and rooms are in serious need of renovation and updating. One of the elevators in our building wasn’t working. The location isn’t bad but it not on the ocean. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
