Wonderful property for rest and relaxation
Oct 22nd, 2020
Very impressed with this great property. First let me thank some of the outstanding team. Lynn Abdelnour, Nadine Castro, Nancy Valencia and Felicia Dela-Garza all made us feel right at home. Their knowledge and friendliness made us feel special. The property was beautiful and the golf course well maintained. Our two bedroom condo was clean and very comfortable. We cannot wait to return and experience this resort again. If we had one suggestion it would be to have a kids pool and adult pool in the main two pool area. The team at Shadow Ridge should be proud of what they have created for guest. Thank You! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
In Non-Covid times, I would have probably given a better review
Sep 14th, 2020
I have stayed numerous times in Shadow Ridge I, so I was really excited to stay in The Enclaves. The actual accommodations did not disappoint, but the resort in general...well... not quite up to its 5-star rating as in Non-Covid times. Here's the highlights and low-lights: The Good: -The Enclaves are really cool and chic inside; more upscale than the most Marriott villas. The balconies have comfortable reclining chairs and a great view depending on your building (We had over the lake on the golf course). do watch out, some of the building have views of parking lot only. The lockoff portion is extra nice with a decent small kitchen and a separate area from the living area for sleeping. The lockoff felt really removed, in a good way, from the main unit though it had a door joining them in the entry way. -Since everyone was wearing masks, the staff tried extra hard to be friendly, greet you and be cheerful. -The pool area had various groupings of chairs tied off together appropriately socially-distanced without it being awkward. They were very good about sanitizing them. The Bad: -Pool bar closed really early so you couldn't even get dinner there. Since the restaurant at the golf course is closed, and there are not that many outdoor places to eat in Palm Desert this time of year due to heat (Can't eat indoors in CA due to Covid right now), they really had a captive audience at the pool that would have loved to buy food and drinks in the evenings. -Activities are non-existent. Yes, it is a challenge during Covid to think of activities, but they didn't even try. Other brands of resorts are creativiely doing it so I'm sure some reservation bingo, wine tasting that you stay at your reserved tables with the wine already set out, in-room crafts, magic shows or something could have been scheduled. -Shortest list of local restaurants handed out at checkout ever. There were definitely way more restaurants open with patio dining than the couple they listed. All in all, they really phoned it in when it came to doing anything but provide guests a room. This was a chance to stand out with some creativity, but instead it was another Covid excuse not to do anything. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Our Home Away from Home

Always a very comforting and comfortable experience. Rooms are clean, inviting, and a real pleasure to stay for a few days or a few weeks. Facilities are outstanding, the staff very caring and professional, and your needs are met expeditiously with a smile. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Great getaway in Palm Desert

The Shadow Ridge property is a typical Marriott Vacation Club property with all of the amenities you'd expect. The Enclaves section is somewhat remote from the main sections but yet an easy walk to the on-site restaurants, etc. You'll need to drive over to the pro shop if you're carrying your clubs. The on-site restaurant ("The Grille") is very good, and the pool-side grill/bar (Snake Bites at the Enclave pool) was quite good for lunch and drinks. Beautiful setting with golf course and maintain views. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Lovely Property, But Don't Expect Special Treatment
Mar 3rd, 2020
I stayed 17 nights on a business trip. As a Titanium Elite with Marriott, I made one simple request - a quiet room not facing the pool. I was told that owners get preferential treatment and I was not an owner. I had an apartment overlooking the pool and yes, it was very noisy. If you want peace and quiet, this is not the place. But the apartments were beautifully fitted out and kept serviced. There was a nice gym and plenty places to walk, swim and play golf. One thing to note - parking is at a premium on the weekends. Don't expect to park in the parking lot if you are out for an evening and get back after dark. You will have to park on the street. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
