Good service but didn’t get all benefits
Sep 29th, 2020
We spent the week at Paradisus in September. Good and bad points but we would stay there again. Cons: 1. We stayed in a Reserve Swim Up room. The rooms themselves are adult only, meaning you won’t have children to your left or right. However, the rooms above are not adult only so you can (and we did) have kids above us and you can definitely hear them. This was the biggest issue we had since we thought, and the website made it sound like the Reserve was a section of the hotel that was adults only. This was the reason we booked Paradisus in the first place. Really disappointed. We asked the front desk about it and they couldn’t give us an answer. We asked to speak to a manager about it (twice) and we never heard back from them. 2. We never heard from or saw a butler which was part of the Reserve “benefits” 3. My fiancé tried to do something nice for us on our anniversary but the hotel couldn’t offer us anything except a cake at dinner (which we could’ve just offered off the menu anyway). I guess this is where the Butler would be helpful? They asked us multiple times if we were celebrating anything and when we told them, they couldn’t do anything. Not sure why they even asked. Pros: 1. Jonathan will make sure you always have fun at the pool. He teachers Not-your-typical-water aerobics everyday and activities by the pool bar in the afternoon. 2. Yony at the pool bar will make you the best drinks! 3. Waitstaff was generally very accommodating. 4. La Palapa, restaurant for those staying in Reserve rooms, has really good food. This alone may be worth the Reserve room costs during Covid since they only had 2 restaurants + room service open. 5. The precautions the staff took during Covid made it feel safe. The hotel seemed to be at 20% capacity, all staff wore masks, lots of spacing between chairs. The only time we felt uncomfortable was around drunk guests who would get too close at the pool bar. 6. The swim up room was worth it. We heard some people saying it wasn’t but we used it multiple times a day. It was nice to wake up have a quiet swimming pool all to ourselves and be able to take a dip when we got back from any excursions. Plus you can get drinks delivered! 7. The hotel is about a $16 uber ride to Cabo and $10 to San Jose del Cabo. Use uber! The hotel won’t tell you they’re available, they’ll only recommend a cab ($30) or city bus. **I know the hotel says tipping isn’t required but we tipped whenever we could. We brought a bunch of $1’s and $5’s. Small gestures go a long way. It would be helpful to have some guidance from the hotel on what appropriate tips would be instead of saying it’s not required. My Self Love Pregocation
Sep 29th, 2020
First, I would like to thank Bayron for planning such a wonderful experience & keeping your team well informed. From the time I got off the van from the airport, I recieved outstanding service. I was greeted by the concierge: Aoplo and Alexandro and Bellboy, Jose, who made me feel welcomed and at home. The breakfast, lunch, dinner, 1030pm snacks, and my birthday dinner kept me and the baby very happy! To the gentleman who waited on me hand and foot for my birthday dinner on the terrace, I really appreciate you making me feel soooo special. Liz, thank you for being super sweet and kind. I absolutely love my birthday gift. To Raul and the Waitstaff & Managers, you sure know how to spoil a lady with great hospitality. Literally every SINGLE day was AMAZING! I enjoyed Yoga with Analeyah- thank you for being so accommodating during my pregnancy, Aquareobics with Jonathan aka Papasito, Virgin Mango Margarits from Estella, the Bartender(Virgin Sisters *inside joke*) , and the ENTIRE PARADISUS FAMILY. Your hospitality made my Self-love Solocation THEE best. I really appreciate all of you. My heart is full with gratitude! Thank you so much! We will come back and visit as soon as the baby can talk and carry his/her own bag lol. Continue begin great! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Great resort with awesome views, good food, and a rare very swimmable beach.
Sep 27th, 2020
Took wife down mid-Sept 2020 for a 5-day babymoon. Paradisus was great. Not many people in Cabo due to Covid and the hotel was probably at 10-20% capacity. Restaurants and bars were open and daily activities were in full swing. The fire show was fun. Every night there was a firework show at 9pm on the beach. What sets this place apart is the swimmable beach out front. There is a nice path from the hotel with umbrellas and chairs setup near the water. The beach bar serves the beach. We stayed in the reserve rooms with a private swim up pool. We did not get the prime location with the ocean view, but those were not as private anyways being attached to the reserve restaurant and larger pool. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
A Very Safe and Relaxing Getaway
Sep 26th, 2020
We stayed for 5 days, 4 nights at this amazing place. Of all the great things I want to say about this place, it’s their SAFETY protocols and how these are implemented by all the staff. We all currently experience unprecedented times and having a getaway place to recover and rejuvenate is very important but tantamount to this is BEING SAFE. I can assure anyone reading this that THIS IS A SAFE PLACE TO STAY! They are currently at 30% capacity which truly helps with social distancing when you’re swimming or when you’re eating at one of their resto’s. It’s worth mentioning that ALL STAFF WEAR MASKS so as a guest, one does not have an excuse not to wear one. When eating, their utensils are individually packed and disinfected. Our room is cleaned everyday as well. I’m including some pics to show readers how little things that this resort does mean A LOT when it comes to safety so kudos to all the hardworking staff from the front desk to all the servers at their resto’s and to the maintenance crew as well. I’d like to specially mention the following: Isabel and Melody at the Gabi Beach whose service is exceptional! Look for them when you eat here which for us is the best resto in this resort! Jesus at La Palapa whose knowledge of the menu is pretty awesome! Thanks to him as well for taking the time to surprise us with drinks and and amazing dishes that the resto has to offer. To the very, very patient and sweet Diana at Celsius Bar, the swim up bar. I don’t know where she gets her energy but she serves with a smile always and with so much patience to all hotel guests. It’s already a given that in any all-inclusive resort, the swim up bar is the most popular place to be but Diana makes it look effortless when it becomes busy. By the way, you still have to practice social distancing when you’re at the swim up bar. It’s also very courteous if you tip any of the servers for all their hard work so share the love (and money that you can willingly give as tips!) Omar and Elizabeth at MOLE for their great services as well. This resto can become really busy but both of them handled it so well! Ronald, Cristiano, and Edith at Naos for their patience. Jonathan the Activities Director for his energy and commitment to get everyone involved in various activities of the day. If you’re the type who’d rather decline any of the day’s activities, you’re free to do so but at the very least, give this guy a chance to work with you! All the other unnamed workers and servers all deserve to be recognize and I can assure you that all of them are courteous and hardworking! Overall, our stay was both SAFE AND RELAXING: just what we needed when we’re looking for a place to getaway for a short while in these crazy times. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I felt a little scared to go to Cabo during this pandemic, but my (85 year old)mother insisted we go to celebrate her birthday. Hotel Paradisus soon allayed all my fears! All staff at all times wore masks and there were hand sanitizers everywhere. Also, they were at about 20% capacity. Entertainment was fun--Jonathan and Rogelio really took care of us and always with energy and good spirit. The bars were fantastic--Kenny and Carlos were great! Housekeeping was wonderful. Felt like they did an excellent job of "sanitizing" every day. Sorry, I never got their names. Front desk was accommodating and friendly. Guest services manager made sure we were well taken care of. La Palapa restaurant catered to our every whim. Yoga with Analia was wonderful. At every turn, they made my mother feel special- she celebrated the entire time (5 days!) we were there. So many special cakes and happy birthdays! Excellent all around. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
