Not worth the money in any way

Jan 24th, 2020

325 for my room that did not have any USB ports available (only the Television - which we used). Hotel apparently does not own wash clothes as we asked for them and they said they didn’t have any. Located in an area all by itself so it is a hassle to sightsee. I give it an average rating. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Awful; beautiful hotel badly run

Jan 19th, 2020

Two night stay in a premium Level room. Soap dispenser in room empty. No bathrobes present. Minibar levels had not been checked on arrival. Bottles left all day in the corridors (not room service trays but bottles apparently collected by the staff from the rooms and not disposed of). Hallways dirty. No fan and air con turned off for the winter so the rooms was stuffy and in my view unhealthy. No ability to open a window or opening. Duty manager did not design to visit in the room (« Melia’s security policy ») was the assertion and never made phone contact. Then again the phones did not function on the morning of the second day. Lots of « sorries » from the embarrassed staff. Seems a very badly managed hotel, which is sad for what could be a nice venue. Second of two similar stays at the hotel. Never again. Handing back my Melia card as never want to deal with such people again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great Hotel Outside City Center

Jan 17th, 2020

I stayed at the Melia in late October for work, and the overall experience was a good one. Checkin and checkout were seamless, the breakfast each morning was great, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I had a great view of the city and the heated floors in the bathoom were an added bonus! Right now, the hotel is fairly out of the way and there isn't much close by to walk to, but there is a lot of construction in the general area, so I have a feeling in another couple of years, it will be an ideal location. The one thing I will mention is that it is a bit complicated moving around the hotel. While most hotels now require you to have your room key in the elevator to access the guest room floors, this hotel would only allow you to get to your floor, which presented problems for my colleagues and I when we had to move boxes from one room to the other, or when one of them forgot her adapter and I went to deliver it to her, only to realize we would both have to go back down to the lobby to meet up. The restaurant and lounge were beautiful, but a bit confusing getting to them with different access elevators. Nothing to dissuade me from staying there again, just good to know if you're in a group. Overall, a great stay! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The hotel is very close to the metro station. The view from the room is impressive, lying down watching the city in front of you. especially the 57th floor is the most beautiful of any place in Vienna. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
