We stayed for two nights with a party of tourists on a coach holiday. We ate in the breakfast room on C floor. There was a very comprehensive choice of food for breakfast and evening meal. The hotel signs say “take what you can eat, but eat what you take”. For the evening meal the hotel had provided jugs of water on the tables which goes down well with English visitors. The hotel is modern and smart, with easily accessible Wi-fi (using only your email address). Rooms are comfortably furnished, with facilities to make hot drinks in the room. Further supplies are available from the housekeeper through reception. Apples are provided at reception for guests, and there is a complimentary bottle of mineral water provided in the room. Central, friendly staff business hotel

Jul 18th, 2019

Stayed 1 night for the first time ( usually i take the sofitel chain bridge) . Booked via the Accor app a privillege room ( lounge access ). Price was half of what i usually pay at the sofitel. I requested a quiet room ( there are rooms that face the street and ones in the back who face an inner courtyard ) since i was arriving at midnight and i had an important meeting the next morning. I did the check in via the app so i would come in take the key and go up to the room. I arrived at the hotel and check in was speedy (night clerk was a bit sleepy. I asked if the room is quiet and he nodded ( guess he did not understand much.) I was assigned a room on the 3rd floor. Facing the street. The room was clean and had a nespresso and all ammenities needed. I went to sleep but there was noise from the street. They do not have double glassed windows.. In the morning i went to the lounge. Funny but there is no key needed there. Lol. I was the only one. The new manager Szolt came a few minutes later and kindly assisted me with some things that were missing at the buffet. Guys like him make a difference. Since i went to a meeting the guy at reception ( his name was also szolt..) gave me a later checkout time. A decent business hotel in the heart of the city. Pros - location. Ammenities. Staff.Clean. Value for money. Cons - lack of some basic things in the lounge and lack of secluded area . They can get better. Do not take low floors facing tge street. All and all better value than the Good But Old sofitel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice Hotel to Stay

Jul 14th, 2019

Nice hotel to stay in. Service and staff are very good. Buffet breakfast spread is elaborate. It is in the city centre and prominently located in shopping zone. However, there is no direct car access to the hotel; so be prepared to carry your luggage for a few metres to reach the hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We enjoyed our stay at the very central hotel Mercure while visting Budapest this summer. We had an executive lounge access room and liked the evening servings. The room was not large but well kept and newly furnished. I recommend this hotel for its fine location and affordable price. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great hotel in a great location

Superbly located in the heart of Budapest. We felt welcome as soon as we walked into the lobby. Lovely clean room with very comfy bed. Thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay. Also very handy for buses, metro, river cruise etc. Would definitely consider staying here again when we next visit Budapest TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
