The hotel located at the city center where dining and shopping are within walking distance. Transport is also convenient. The restaurant at the lobby is a nice place for a good meal. Guest rooms are comfortable and tidy. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Great location, staff is supernice

Admittedly the hotel isn't the nicest looking place in The Hague, but the room was clean and a good size. And if you're staying in the city centre, why do you need to be in your room anyway? The best thing, aside from the location, was the staff. They were all so cheerful and friendly, even though times must be rough on the hotel business. They were the best part! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
How to lose a recurring guest in one night
Sep 18th, 2020
I stayed several times at The Mercure. Its is ideally located downtown and quite comfortable but my latest experience was a disaster. Frosty welcome by the evening staff which is not pleasant, particularly if you're a recurring guest. I could have overlooked this but things went from bad to worse. I had indicated I was traveling for business and requested a quiet work so I could work and get rest. I understand guest request cannot always be fully met but there must be something in between honoring a request and providing the exact opposite of what was asked. I was given a room overlooking one of the busiest crossroads in The Hague. By the time I realized this, it was very late, my bag was unpacked and I was in my night wear, so a bit late to change rooms. I was asked twice for my opinion. I stated the above twice and still haven't heard a single word from Mercure in almost two weeks. So that's it for me, I'm afraid TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We booked a different hotel originally but due to circumstances they offered us this one instead. Very classy. Beautiful lobby. Nice room. Only a pity that there were only two elevators. And you could use them one at a time. Which means you had to wait a while during rush hour when people are checking in or trying to get downstairs for breakfast. And there are A LOT of floors. But that’s just a minor issue. The room was lovely, very interesting shower: if you wanted you could watch your partner take a shower from the bedroom since there was window in the connecting wall. Also nice that there was a nespresso machine. The Hague itself was a bit of a letdown considering there is a pandemic going on and everyone pretends like it doesn’t exist (no masks nor distance at very busy places) but this hotel was nice to retreat to. Overall good stay

I stayed here out of necessity due to a visa problem with my travels. I found the staff to be quite welcoming and understanding, and friendly. I was a bit disappointed that I had such difficulty using a desktop computer on an emergency basis. There should be exceptions in such situations in my view. The manager came through in the end though my visa didn't. Overall a good stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
