Very nice room with Basel Card!

The room was very nice, spacious, and clean. The location is a little far out of the city centre, but it makes up for it with the free Basel Card, which covers public transportation and discounts on most sites, such as the museums and boat rides I really enjoyed staying here and wish I could've stayed longer I only wish we didn't have to pay for the coffee pods to go with the coffee machine in the room. The pods should've been included. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The hotel is extremely well located in the heart of Lyon and only a few steps away from shopping and restaurants. The rooms and large for European standards and in good condition. The highlight of my stay was the excellent service received throughout my stay. The front desk personnel is truly nice and courteous. They are very helpful and respectful. The breakfast is truly a good one and complete with many options. Will definitely stay at this hotel again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Great location, room poor, basic breakfast, average service. Can do better.

I stayed here for 2 nights. My partner and I in one room and my sister and her kids in another room. Upon arrival, my Accor status had not been acknowledged and we did not recieve our drink vouchers. After chasing this with reception, they updated the booking, issued the voucher and said maybe it was the way that I had booked it. I booked the same way I always do, logged in through the Accor website. All other Accor hotels do not have this issue with my bookings. The lack of acknowledgement is really poor and shows they don't really care about Accor's loyalty program. Both my sisters and my room were disabled access rooms, which meant they were not as well furnished or as comfortable as a normal room. I am not sure why we were both issued disabled rooms as we didn't request this. Our rooms had tiny windows and no view. Really depressing. Breakfast was ok, though much lower standard and offering to other Mercure's we had stayed in. The only thing going for this hotel was its location next to the main shopping plaza. I stayed at the Mecure Beux Arts in Lyon last time I was there and that is worlds apart from the Mercure Centre Plaza. On my next trip to Lyon, I will stay elsewhere as you can do much better for the cost of this hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This is our go to hotel for our trips to Lyon. The location is amazing and central and walkable to everything from restaurants, sites, museums, and shops to all forms of public transportation. The staff are exceptional and breakfast is a must. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Excellent location & good breakfast

We were in a privilege room which was amazing. The hotel is very close to an underground car park and a short walk from shops/bars. The young man who checked us in spoke excellent English but not all staff did but this wasn’t an issue (there’s always Google translate). Breakfast was varied so something for every taste.
