Super disappointed- Confunsed- Dazed!

On December 4, 2020 my man and I checked in to the metro polo hotel unbeknownst to us upon arriving at the hotel we saw a sign on the front that said that we had to go down the street to the White House hotel to check in-😟 upon arrival to the hotel we were greeted by a front desk agent I cannot remember his name however he was on duty for 12 hours on December 4, he explained to us that we could check in early which was great however he then explain that there was a resort fee of $100 plus an incidental fee of $114. He explained that this was due to us booking through a third-party. By the way we book through snap travel 😤 needless to say after about three hours of going back-and-forth with the front desk agent the lovely site manager Maria as well as other hotel staff we finally were able to get into our hotel room- The hotel is in very bad shape, it is unclean, unfortunately due to Cove it the staff explained to us that they are very short staffed Unfortunately the hallways were on clean the carpets had not been vacuuming days I know that they had been Vacuumed in days because there were dog treats on the floor our entire stay. That brings me to my next story about this hotel due to Covid they have reduced the price is greatly and are allowing any and everyone to stay there were two alleged drug attic staying next-door to us these two women were banging each other back and forth in to the wall and yelling and screaming for two nights in a row unfortunately the front desk manager myle on the site who was absolutely fabulous and tried her best to keep us happy was unable to remove the women right away. She explained the police had been there several times however the women did not have to leave. Eventually the woman left however it made for a terrible two night stay. The hotel really needs help. The front desk staff myle was absolutely super she gave us a complementary bottle of wine and explained That it was out of her control. The hotel itself was in horrible condition there were garbage in the breeze on the back staircases I am afraid of the elevator so I take the stairs at times. This hotel was in very bad condition I am so disappointed in this day and especially the check in process I hope that the metro polo gets their standards back up. As for the room the room itself was clean when we arrived and the room was in good condition aside from a few things that could be touched up if you decide to stay at the metro pool please know that is at your own risk the property is in pretty bad shape and I believe it's due to it being short staffed and them not being able to maintain it properly. I would like to say that the bartender at the White House from Chicago was extremely helpful and kept myself and my man comfortable while we were waiting for our room situation to be rectified. There was also another staff member there I can't remember her name but she was good as well. Metro polo please get it together TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Worst humiliation I've ever experienced

The most hurtful, insulting and embarrassing experience I've ever had. This hotel is racist and cruely unprofessional and inconsiderate. I booked this hotel for 4 days with a friend. I arrived at 9 PM the day of my check-in from NY and to my surprise I was told that another hotel nearby had an issue with a guest with the same first and last name. Therefore they can't check me in. This is 2020 in the United States of America. Since when does matching someone else's name preclude you from getting service. I asked them to check the details for the person they had an issue with, at least check his birthday but was told nothing. I asked to speak to a Manager and still wasn't given any courtesy or respect and was thrown in the street around 11 PM. The hotel was booked through Expedia, and I called them and explained the issue. Expedia for its part told me they couldn't reach the hotel and couldn't resettle me to another hotel but would only offer a refund. I still haven't received confirmation yet that I'll get a refund and I'm looking at my options and will probably sue both. I was only able to find a hotel at 1:30 AM after going Hotel to Hotel in South Beach trying to find a place that still had space for the night. This experience was unjust and extremely hurtful and disrespectful and I would urger you to reconsider your stay. I'm still considering my options and will probably sue both the hotel and Expedia for the harm caused. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Stayed in the 1 bedroom suite for 5 nights. This is a typical south beach hotel. The living room and kitchen are pretty large compared to others. The location is one block from the beach. The hotel is dated but decent. Not the cleanest place ive ever stayed but isnt out right dirty. Not sure because of covid they are not giving housekeeping services? The outside space need an update. The pool is more of a jacuzzi size and was dirty. You get what you pay for. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

As soon as we arrived everyone was so helpful, especially Becky she is just Great. She made sure that our room was clean and ready for us to check in. Room amazing and not to mention that smelled really good and hallways also smell good. Location was perfect and all staff here are super friendly. Highly recommended. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I do not give this bad review lightly. I generously give the benefit of the doubt whenever possible but this experience was terrible. After settling into bed, we discovered that the mattress was saturated with urine! Prior to getting into the bed, it was perfectly made up so there was no way of knowing until wet clothes were felt. There were no other rooms, so we couldn't move. When we approached the manager the next morning to request a refund, she was less than attentive and said an investigation would have to be performed before that could be decided. To my knowledge, the extent of the investigation was asking the housekeeper if she ignored the wet mattress when she made up the bed. Of course, she said no, what else would an employee say who may loose their job for not properly doing it. It is unfortunate because this could be a quaint hotel in a great area.
