at the Millennium Broadway New York Times Square

I am a huge Hilton fan and loyal Diamond member. I searched and researched which properties to stay in with my girls (celebrating my daughters 10th birthday, her dream was to come to NYC), on our last visit to NYC we stayed right on time square, was a lovely experience, believe it was Hampton Inn. We took a cab to the millennium, we/the cab driver could not find it, there is absolutely NO signage indicating it was Millennium or a Hilton or even a hotel. Fortunately a bell hop saw us looking around and pointed us to the hotel. The lobby is very dark and dated. During check in, being a diamond member, I asked if there was an upgrade available, we wanted to make sure we could see time Square, I was assured we had an excellent room, ball drop view! Upon entering the room, what a huge disappointment, you can see the ball, but really cannot see anything else on time square (the windows are filthy, it appears like a cloudy day everyday) The room is dated and grungy, see attached photos. Stains on carpet, bathroom wallpaper pealing, tub faucet about to fall off the wall, sink fixtures worn and dated, lights above bed, one missing, all outlets are so worn plugs won’t stay in, making charging devices nearly impossible. The website states there is room service, no room service. On a positive note, It is close to Times Square, less than a block away and all of the staff were as nice as they could be! I remain a loyal Hilton guest.. but want to warn others about this property, It seems this was recently taken over by Hilton, they have much improvement to make. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This hotel is in the perfect location. Half a block off 7th avenue and Times Square and Just far enough away that you don’t hear all the noise. Hoped to have an early check in, eventually got one at 3:40pm. If you’re scent sensitive to Lily’s like I am, this hotel is not for you. The foyer is infused with a horrible scented Lilly smell. The room is nothing special, but did the trick. The cleaning lady did walk into our room at 8:30 am for some strange reason but we sent her packing. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Not great, but very good ...

It was my first time in NYC, and this hotel was recommended by family. CONS: -decor is dated -room was a little toasty for me, thermostat was set at 65 with high fan but I don't know that it ever got below 73/74/75 while we were there -exterior (especially off 44th St) is not marked well, at all ... so if you get a cab, have them drop you off on 44th between 6th and 7th and you'll just have to find it yourself! -bed is super (duper) firm, which is fine if you like it that way, just sayin. PROS: -great location! You are literally maybe a 5 minute walk to Times Sq ... 10 minute walk to the theatres ... 10 minute walk to 30 Rock ... 5 minutes to the Big Bus tour launch location. Walking distance to pretty much everything in midtown. -cost was reasonable to great, when compared with other hotels nearby -opens to both 44th and 45th St on either side of the lobby, which is great for getting oriented -IF YOU NEED COFFEE, there is a Starbucks literally 10 steps to your left when taking the 45th St exit. -elevators are fast -somehow this place did NOT lose power during the Saturday blackout We did not eat at the restaurant in the hotel, mainly because there are just too many other miracles of food/beverage to discover nearby. We also didn't really have much interaction with staff other than at check-in/out time. Always felt safe, and the place was clean/top to bottom. Good reasonable cost option for Times Sq area. 3rd visit here with my group. This was the best visit. Staff were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. You can't beat the location - next to Broadway shows, subway...right in the middle of the action. Will bring a group back here in the future. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Pictures are deceiving!!!!

Please do not expect the rooms that are in the pictures. Our room was grungy, stained carpet and lumpy pillows. Only one light worked in the bathroom. There are no mini fridges in the room or coffee makes and ice buckets. You can get a coffee maker and ice bucket it you call housekeeping. No one helped us with our bags and the elevators take FOREVER!!! This hotel was recently bought by Hilton so hopefully they will get things turned around! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
