Loved the beach!

Oct 26th, 2019

We were fortunate that reserve a week in a bungalow here through RCI, a division of Wyndham who have acquired and refurbished this hotel/resort. We loved our terrace with its view right across the bay to the port at Agios Nikolaos. We could see the cruise ships docked there as we enjoyed our morning coffee. The hotel has excellent facilities with several pools, a spa, a gym and a range of bars and restaurants. However what we liked best was the sandy beach with plenty of different sorts of seating and a beachside bar. We didn’t eat in the hotel preferring to try a range of local restaurants and bars. We walked to the town( a 20 minute walk) and took taxis back(6 euros). The bus to Plaka and Elounda stops outside too. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Disappointed

Oct 18th, 2019

I have been in my room for less than 12 hours and have had to call management about ants twice now. In addition I could make a rug out of the left over hair from previous guests. Completely disgusted! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Hard to fault

Oct 14th, 2019

This is a lovely example of a Mediterranean holiday hotel - the best of its type that I’ve stayed in. The location is excellent, the facilities are first rate and the staff are happy and attentive. A special thank you to Maria and Ariadne, but everyone working at the hotel appears to enjoy helping guests enjoy their stay. Before arrival, I noted the comments about some of the bathrooms. Much of the hotel is being refurbished soon. We had a deluxe room overlooking the sea - couldn’t complain about cleanliness and decor. We liked the food too. This is a comfortable place to be, with a very relaxed atmosphere. For the price, it’s hard to see how you could end up anywhere better! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Lovely relaxing stay

Oct 14th, 2019

I was a bit worried as there are a few negative comments in some of the reviews - after a week at this hotel I can confirm that these are all completely unfounded (and I can imagine the type of people who left them!). Room was lovely and spacious - it was cleaned/refreshed appropriately and if anything extra was requested it was happily provided. I had paid for a sea view and ended up at the back of the hotel with a sliver of sea - I asked if I could change rooms and this was done with no problem and the new room had amazing views over the bay (this really made our holiday). Food was fine - lots of choice, warm, fresh and I think all tastes would be catered for. I avoided having any drinks with dinner as I know how expensive this would be (would rather spend my money on the sea view!). The little beach/harbour is lovely and peaceful - great for swimming (either floating or proper swim as you can swim along the coast a bit). Lots of nice areas to relax and lovely views day or night. Ag Nik is a nice little town to walk around - bus/taxi or walk to get there. Bus to Plaka or Elouda to get boat to Spinalonga - I think this is a better option than the big busy boat from Ag Nik. We used the tennis courts which were easily booked at reception. Overall a lovely week in a lovely hotel with lovely staff. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Super friendly ,super clean ,super service

Oct 13th, 2019

Hotel not terribly attractive from the outside but smart inside and once you go out the back of the hotel you are met with stunning views,2 lovely little beaches a lovely pool and whole surrounding area beautifully laid out. The gardens on the promontory between the hotel and the sea are gorgeous. I don’t think we’ve ever come across staff so friendly and so efficient ( without exception) and all speak excellent English.Buffet dinner & breakfast have a great choice and good quality ( if a little bland ) —- dinner one even was a little hectic but generally very orderly.Hotel is adjacent to a main road and when sitting on the bedroom balcony it can be a little noisy but not overly so. There was a good mix of ages in the hotel and no rowdiness or noisy crowd.. Bedroom a decent size and towels ( including beach towels) changed whenever one wanted.Didnt like the plastic shower curtain around the bath —— a bit of a dated arrangement.Everywhere spotlessly clean. Draught beer @5€ a pint ( together with a free packet of nuts ) very fair for a good hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
