Food, glorious food

Feb 15th, 2020

Let me get the bad point out of the way. The aircon was not effective. Regardless of how low I turned it the room stayed resolutely hot. However, I shifted to manual efforts and opened the window for a while. Problem solved. Thyere are many more positives: a great central location in the pedestrian area 4 minutes to the funicular boot warmers in the ski room helpful staff who, in particular, directed us to live music a bath as well as a shower so that I could soak at the end of a hard day's skiing good wifi - we never had a blip when skyping home spotlessly maintained But the stand out plus was the fantastic food. What's more it was not just delicious there was plenty of it. Our half board option gave us four courses but with the exception of a token ice cream on the last night just to do it, we never managed a fourth. Would love to come back with the rest of my family. Truly excellent hotel - will always come back.

Just returned from a week’s skiing at St Moritz. This is the 6th or 7th time at the Monopol and have always enjoyed my stay there. The staff are brilliant, very helpful and friendly. Francesco is the head of food and is an absolute star. His friendliness and enthusiasm is legendary. The restaurant food is outstanding - don’t think I have ever stayed at a ski hotel that served such good food. My wife, friends are I will always come back to the Monopol. I count them as family now! It is short walk to the funicular for Corviglia and even closer to the bus stops for travelling to other parts. Too close to the high-end luxury shops for my credit card. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great location, nice room

Ideally located walking distance from everything. Only a few minutes to get to the St Moritz funicular which takes you to Piz Niar. The roof top bar and spa have a great view of the city. We had a Deluxe Double Room and found that it was very spacious and the bathroom had a nice soaking tub. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great central location, quiet and fabulous dining room featuring Italian cuisine.

A full service hotel with various spa services. My room a bit crowded with a King size bed. Bathroom clean and modern. Step out the door to every luxury shop you ever dreamed of. Pedestrian streets in a handsome city. The dining room was lovely for dinner with excellant Italian food and wine. Great staff all around. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Fantastic stay

Oct 30th, 2019

Stayed for 2 nights. Central location. Walking distance from the station although the hotel do provide a minibus to take you there and back. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast with plenty of choice. It was great to see the manager come and say good morning to the guests. The bedrooms had everything you wanted and more, including an evening turndown service. I didn't get the chance to use the spa but it looked lovely. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
