Great Location

Jul 13th, 2020

Loved our stay at the Moose Hotel. Great location, close enough to walk to everything. We’re able to store our kids bikes in their storage and rent two adult bikes for a day. Free upgrade since we are Expedia VIP members. Kids had fun in the pool, was shallow enough for our 5 & 6 yr old girls to stand in. Nice room, had a suite, no issues whatsoever. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great value and service

Jul 10th, 2020

Moved over from The Fox to The Moose. Immediately the changes and upgrade was noticeable. The beds were more comfortable (especially the pullout sofa) the bathroom facilities more modern and the pool area was open. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful in the smooth and easy transition from their sister property. Thank you again we will be back. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

It was a wonderful get away for the wife and I. Due to COVID the hot tubs where all closed but the atmosphere and the room accommodations and amenities were top notch! The front desk staff were very accommodating and professional!! I will definitely be returning to the Moose for future stays!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Moove on over to the Moose!

Jul 9th, 2020

We had the pleasure of staying in the “Corner House”, a circa 1905 Eatons catalogue house originally built at Bankhead and later moved to the hotel site in Banff. The house is now located in the centre courtyard, and has been wonderfully updated with modern comforts without sacrificing its period charms. We appreciated all of the effective safety measures implemented at the hotel, and felt completely relaxed lounging, dining, and sleeping at the Moose. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice Hotel - Great Location

Jul 9th, 2020

Overall, a pretty good experience. Stayed three nights - two couples with one child - in a comfortable two bedroom suite. The common areas of the hotel are nicely designed and the room was spacious, clean and well-equipped. Good beds, very nice bathrooms and adequate little kitchenette. Good underground parking - though it’s pretty tight for larger vehicles. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff - accommodated our request for an early check-in and provided good information when we arrived. Absolutely unbeatable location - an easy one minute walk into the heart of downtown Banff. Areas for improvement? Well the seating in the living room area of the suite could be better. The little dining table and chairs were OK but the sofa / hideaway bed proved rather uncomfortable seating - low and awkward. Two small upholstered ottomans provide more seating but, again, not really comfortable. At least one comfortable lounging chair would be a welcome addition - we didn’t use the living room for socializing or relaxing much because of the awkward seating. Hotel amenities are nice. The hot tubs were closed (Covid-19 precautions) but the pool was open. It is fairly small but the kids enjoyed it. The hotel restaurant (Pacini) is OK. We ordered room service a couple of times but, to be honest, I can’t say we were all that impressed. We found the dinner entree’s we selected the first night of our stay (two pasta dishes and a couple of sandwiches) to be rather uninspired. After trying a couple of breakfast selections the next morning, we opted to eat elsewhere for the balance of our stay. The food was NOT bad, just not particularly inventive or flavourful. Overall, a good hotel. Not cheap at $650 per night for the suite, but reasonable given it’s premiere location in Banff. We’ll visit again and try out other types of rooms when we’re not looking for a suite. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
