Great Hotel - Staff Issues
Mar 7th, 2020
Hello! Anyone who knows me and my reviews I am honest and I do not write fluff! With that said.... Check In with Catrina was AMAZING!! Cannot say enough positive about her! She is a manager and she was perfect!! She was friendly- helpful - genuine!! The room was a king size nom smoking. It was very roomy and clean. This hotel used to be another brand and had been remodeled. All amenities were working (microwave and refrigerator). We had a 32" TV - we didn't watch it but it was there. The bed and bedding were Fab! The towels in the bathroom were average and small BUT since we travel a lot, we always bring our own towels. Here is where my staffing issue comes to play. When looking for hotels we had a 2 pm flight our last day - wanted a noon check out. In looking at multiple locations I mixed them up and thought this was a noon checkout. The cleaning person knocked on our door like we had stolen something, my spouse told them we thought check out was noon - its now 11:20, he can see we are getting ready to leave. The front desk called right after - again my spouse explain it was an error (this is all taking place as I am showering to leave). I call front desk back, explain the error and got attitude. So at 11:50 we are leaving the room - the front desk staff got another attitude and told us we should have requested a late check. Yes, being in the hospitality industry and avid traveler with spouse - if I knew the checkout was 11 am, I would have. The hotel was not booked solid and there was not a need for this room - again because I know how to read a property. My spouse actually nudged me forward to walk away from this rudeness. So to recap - property and room were nice but the rudeness of the staff will most likely steer me away from this property in the future. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Newly refurbished. Beds are wonderful.

Stayed for four days at this very clean newly renovated hotel. Arrived late evening to be greeted by a sweet desk clerk. She was informative and super pleasant. Our queen room was clean, especially the bathroom. Breakfast was hit and miss. Fake eggs and dry sausage patties, but the Belgian waffle (do it yourself) was delicious. Some fresh fruit available. For the price we paid $233 I think it was a bargain. They share the airport shuttle with the next door Sheraton Inn and they are speedy in picking you up. You’re only 13 minutes from Pittsburgh airport but hear no plane traffic. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I accidentally left a Vera Bradley hanging bag in our room after checkout. I spent 2 months trying everything to get my bag returned to me with prescriptions, jewelry and makeup. First I paid for postage for a flat rate box with the post office...it was never used or shipped. Then the desk manager claimed she sent it, but would never verify a tracking number or who she shipped it through. Lots of broken promises to get my bag back to me and a long chain of emails. I wouldn’t choose to stay any where that the staff is so dishonest. I’m very sad about losing this bag. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Beautifully Renovated Older Hotel
Jul 6th, 2019
Even though this is an older hotel, once inside, you will think you are in a new hotel, as they have done a superb job of renovating the entire hotel. The lobby is clean, bright, and up-to-date, the halls were bright and inviting, and our room was obviously re-done, with new hardwood flooring, new bathroom, comfortable bedding, and the highest quality room furnishings that I have ever seen in a Quality Inn. This is a smaller, family-run franchised hotel, and all of the staff we met there were very friendly, accommodating, and willing to do everything they can to help their guests. The complimentary breakfast is typical for a hotel in this price range, and the price is very reasonable. Because this is a small hotel, their airport shuttle service is provide by the Sheraton Hotel next door, and this resulted in a communications breakdown that caused us to wait nearly 2 hours outside the airport for the hotel shuttle. Apparently, the Sheraton shuttle van is not permitted to display Quality Inn signage, so we kept calling the hotel and the van apparently kept stopping, but unfortunately,we didn't know that we needed to take the Sheraton shuttle. If it were not for this problem, this hotel would have received an excellent rating. If we were traveling by car, this would have not been an issue. Also, to address a negative comment in a previous review, there is a hair dryer in the room... it is in a velour bag on the rack above the clothes hangers, and if it wasn't there, someone probably stole it, so they probably would have replaced it if it had been brought to their attention. As a perennial Choice Hotels Diamond Elite member who has stayed in many different Quality Hotels and Inns all over the country, I can say from experience that this is one of the nicer Quality Inns that you will find. Would I stay there again? You bet I would! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Nice budget hotel

We stayed here for a night on our way to Niagara Falls. The hotel is nice and clean at a great price. We checked in late at night and checked out early in the morning after breakfast. They provide free parking and complimentary breakfast. Overall a nice stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
