Can't open window shades due to layout of building
Mar 14th, 2020
While nicely refurbished, the layout of the building is what gives my review only 3 stars. The walkway is around the perimeter of the building, so if you open your window curtains, you give any passerby an excellent view into your room. There are no windows that open to just sky -- they are all facing the wraparound walkway. Therefore, I felt the need to keep my curtains closed the whole time, which was depressing and claustrophobic. That being said, it was an okay place to stay for one or two nights. You will want to ask for the following at the front desk, however, as they are not provided in the rooms: hairdryer / shampoo / more than 1 cake of soap / extra blanket. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Hospitality at its finest!

In this location i had a quiet stay. No loitering people in the property. Clean room. One other reason i enjoy coming here is the best customer service i have encountered a few times at the reception when i booked by the help of manager on duty, Lisa. She's such a jolly lady with a Very positive personality. I will be back! I recommend this place. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Staying here is like home for me, clean room, quiet location and greeted by my favorite staff Lisa. Location is near freeway and park surrounded by good food places. Being friendly is an understatement to describe Lisa’s customer service expertise. I can say, she’s the main reason why Motel 6 issaquah has the best customer service. She deserves all the stars! We stayed here on our previous visit to Issaquah in 2017 - and the hotel was just OK then This time we arrived and with our booking we were checked into room 125 - this room was at the back of the hotel facing the freeway - noisy and Sleepless in Seattle. When we arrived at our room - we noticed the room had nothing in it - only a TV, bed, towels - no amenities for the bathroom - nothing (the room in our previous stay had a fridge, microwave etc. etc.) When we asked about this we were told that these rooms were now "premium rooms" - OK not a problem we would like to upgrade to a premium room and pay the difference - our response - was you booked a standard room and that is what you will get - no upgrade - NO - stay where you are - staff could only be described as some of the rudest we have come across. I know that other reviewers have praised the staff (they were lucky) - but our experience was much WORSE - don't expect much I gave the hotel a one star because - the bed was OK, the heating worked OK- the room had been refurbished Other issues we came across apart form the rude staff - there was no housekeeping of the standard rooms until you leave. If you needed an extra blanket or towels you needed to contact reception- who were very reluctant to give these items (until I insisted). As well there was NO hot water for the shower (it was winter and the outside temperature was minus 5 celcius)- when reported - we were told to turn on all the hot water taps (basin/shower_ and wait which we did for about 10 minutes by which time tepid water arrived. The bathroom had no toiletries. The shower curtain on our shower should have been replaced years ago - is was a dirty mess. All in all - STAY AWAY unless you wish to stay a real cheapo motel - Issaquah has a large range of accommodation - find somewhere better -at a reasonable price TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Sleepless Near Seattle!
Aug 28th, 2019
The price was right ($105) but you get what you pay for. On the positive side I must say that the room we had was clean and quiet, even though the freeway was looming right in front of us. The area seemed to be a safe area in general. The AC worked great but it was leaking through the ceiling. I placed a trash can to collect the dripping and reported it to management in the morning. Obviously, it had been leaking a long time from the stained ceiling. The beds werte the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in my entire life, 62 years! The mattresses felt like they were stuffed with straw and the sheets were scratchy. Finally managed to fall asleep around 2am only to be woken up at 5am by a group of road crew workers who were rapping on the window----they wanted the guys in the room next door. Got up and left for our event. Fortunately it was only one night. Also, there is only an IHOP right next door. Drove around looking for a restaurant for dinner but ended up at Costco. The front desk staff had no idea where we could go to eat. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
