Activities Needed

Jan 16th, 2020

The place was great and very c;lean. The staff were very polite and had great customer service. I did stay during the Christmas holiday. I was disappointed there were no activities in the area. Also The spa was closed, I wish I would have know prior to reserving. Also unless all you want to do is gamble and eat there is not much else to do. The pool was suppose to be heated but it wasn't. We will return!

Jan 11th, 2020

We stayed overnight with our two middle school aged children while traveling from SC to CT. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and large enough to not feel cramped as a family of 4. We came on a Monday night and did not feel like the casino was overly smoky at all. Maybe on a weekend it is a totally different story. Yes, it is inconvenient to have to be escorted from place to place with children, but there were many people there with kids (maybe since it was a school vacation week). Our escorts were friendly and kind to us, and did not make us feel unwelcome because we had children with us. I agree with some of the other posts that it is a hassle to not be able to just walk around freely, but unfortunately it is the design of the casino. I would definitely come back again if we were traveling. There is a also a golf course on the property for people who are interested in warmer weather! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Bachelorette Party

Jan 3rd, 2020

Note to self: read reviews carefully. This is one SMOKY PLACE. It is smoky constantly and everywhere. The hallways, the elevator, the rooms (even though they are "smoke free"), the restaurants, and the casino. That being said, it was affordable when compared to other casinos and resorts. We had a good price for a room and a massage. The food choices were not great. Hit or miss really. The pool was very nice and huge, with a lot of privacy. The spa was also nice, but the masseuse was rather creepy (Michael). He does a good job, but talks the entire time, and moans often (him, not me). Also, we thought there was a night club, and were excited to go to that. Well, it is only open on the weekends! So for what we paid, it was average. If you want to spend the money, there are certainly nicer, smoke free places to go. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Passing through

Dec 31st, 2019

We utilised this hotel as a stop off on the way back from Niagara Falls to NYC, it is not much further out the way and instead of sitting in a boring hotel room we got to play in the casino and have a lovely meal We nearly changed our minds due to the recent reviews re smoke, yes there were people smoking in the casino but as 2 none smokers, it was more than bearable. Our room (3rd floor) didn’t smell at all despite other reviews Would 100% return and take advantage of the golf and spa if we had the option of being back that way TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not awesome

Dec 29th, 2019

Not great for families. They make you feel like an inconvenience. All the restaurants are on casino level and they require anyone under 21 to have a security guard escort. You can’t just walk around and look at the restaurant menus etc. and when they call the escort again to come get you you had better be ready. I wanted to finish my coffee after breakfast and they said I’d have to take it to go bc our escort had arrived. The attitude of the escorts and everyone in the restaurants is that you are doing something wrong and being constantly chastised for bringing your children on vacation. Will never come back. Room was nice though. Lol TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
