The resort is as fantastic as the views.

Jan 20th, 2020

The resort is as fantastic as the views. Everything from the amenities to the staff makes you feel at home. I look forward to making this a recurring destination, as it is unmatched. Travel into Phoenix is very easy and a short Lyft ride to the resort. Come for business, hiking, golf, food, year round swimming, or sunrise yoga. They have it all. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Reservations

Jan 19th, 2020

I’ve stayed at this resort and encouraged others to do so, including my son’s wedding party. It’s fun, hip and in a great location. The downside: the reservation system is comically bad. If you don’t want to book online, and want to talk to a human being...you can forget it. The phone reservation system is set up to avoid human contact, to request that you leave a message, and then to never call you back. So, book online and enjoy the rooms and view. And just assume that their will be non-robot staff to assist you when you arrive:) TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Mountain Shadows Resort--my staycation play destination!

Jan 14th, 2020

I used to think that the concept of a staycation was not worth my time and money. Mountain Shadows Resort was a game-changer for me this past weekend. I went to their Desert Bloom Yoga Festival with zero expectations as this resort is literally right in my front yard! Although I live around the mountain from them, I felt as though I was a world away! Not only was the event wonderfully relaxing and deeply therapeutic, everything from check in to leaving was top notch! (Top notch without the stuffy hotel vibe that is!) It almost hurts me to write this review as I want to savor this as my own hidden gem. But because the people of this resort and of course the resort itself deserve the recognition, well, here we are. Beautiful view, terrific staff

Jan 3rd, 2020

My wife and stayed here for a few days to get away after the holiday. We were in room 259, which looked directly onto Camelback Mountain (basically the view in the picture but on the second floor). The room had a small balcony, which was nice. The room also had a smart TV and small radio to which we could cast from our phones, which seems silly but was a nice perk. The staff were terrific - everyone from the valets (who couldn't believe we had the top down on a rented convertible in December, or that we pulled up with half the car covered in mud), to the bartender, to the front desk staff who gave us great hiking recommendations. A nice, low key, place to be for a few days. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great relaxing weekend destination

Dec 30th, 2019

I stayed at Mountain Shadows for a weekend in December. It was a quick 2-night solo stay while my husband was golfing with friends. The resort was great value for the price - modern and clean rooms, friendly service, large pool area, well-equipped gym with beautiful views and free fitness classes. I much preferred Mountain Shadows to one of the nearby mega-resorts. I would probably stay elsewhere had I been seeking a romantic, peaceful getaway, but this would be a great place for a girl's weekend or short stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
