no AC working when checked in with 102 degrees outside. Was moved to another room where no AC was turned on and took over 7 hours for the room to cool off. Just enough for our checkout to get on the boat to enjoy the water at Lake Travis. Didn't sleep a wink. Just sweated. Is this really la lodge and hotel? They should give us our money back. 3 nights led to infection and months battling Scabbies
Jul 5th, 2020
So, I was diagnosed with scabbies that I am 100% sure came from here. I stayed 4 or 5 nights and was plauged for months with scabies. Scabies are mites that burrow under your skin and eat you. They itch and sting leaving germs, feces behind. Desribed as a tropical disease they are resilent and beat multiple treatments. I had to see my doctor 4 times and I still don't think I am clean. Hundreds of dollars down the drain and I was highly contagious during all of this. The worse part is I told the hotel management about this and they still booked my room the night I left. So yes other people got them to. look them up they are from hell and some compare them to std's TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Stayed here numerous times
Jun 17th, 2020
Only stay here due to price. Cleanliness is horrible- Dirty tub/shower too many times to mention. Often stayed in rooms with no hot water and broken faucets. This will be the last time. No words, and would not stay here again if free. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

My husband and I stayed at the Mountain Star Lodge when we were in town for the Texas Whiskey Fest. Neither of us can remember why we choose Mountain Star Lodge, but it was a good choice (for the most part). We stayed in the suite, so we had a living room, kitchenette, and a large bedroom with a king sized bed. One of my main requirements when choosing a hotel is that the bathroom have a bathtub instead of just a shower. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the bathtub in the suite was a jetted tub. It was easy to control the temperature in the rooms (not always easy in hotels). It was nice to have 2 rooms - each with a tv. The only downsides: 1. the bed was incredibly uncomfortable; 2. the pillows were ridiculous; 3. the parking lot is tiny. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
This is a motel, not lodge
Feb 24th, 2020
This place is more of a motel than a lodge. Our room had trash on the floor when we got there, there was stains on the sheets and the curtains were broken. On top of that the "continental breakfast" advertised online was a scam. We got there 30 minutes after breakfast began and the our options were 2 store-bought muffins and a bagel. 100% not worth the amount of money to essentially be staying in a motel. The empty room (blank walls) gave off a cold and not-so-comforting atmosphere. I will not be staying here again and will also be recommending to friends they they shouldn't stay here either.
