Excellent spot in LA!

We stayed at this property recently and despite COVID restrictions, we had a great stay. The food quality is great, the service is excellent and the location with easy access to Beverly Hlls shopping, Sunset Blvd restaurants, Westwood/UCLA area as well as quick freeway access, was a lovely surprise. I am also a runner and the neighborhood on the other side of Pico Blvd is lovely. The staff from front desk, room service to valet were all lovely and the room had a great view and was quiet, despite the hotel being full over a holiday weekend. Would definitely stay here again. Absolutely disappointed

I wasn’t going to leave a bad review. However, we’ve been patient enough; now, I feel like this needs to be shared. My husband and I had a super short stay (checked in at 10p and out at 8a). Booked through Amex Fine Hotel and Resort benefit. Guess what, it was NOT so luxury. Services received from the front desk was decent. The room was okay.... But, bathroom? Plumbing issue. Lol. The drain has some sort of problem that the water was pooling inside the shower. It was absolutely disgusting. After each shower, we had to use the sink to wash our feet again - more like sanitizing our feet. When we checked out in the morning, we nicely mentioned to the front desk team that they should fix the bathroom before taking anymore guests because that’s a safety and sanitary concern. They said I need to email the manager, so, I did. I even included the pictures I took to increase their understanding to the problem. Guess what!!! NO ONE followed back up. Lol. Not even one “sorry for the inconvenience” or “thank you for the information” we received. I emailed guest services team requesting my folio twice. Did I receive my folio? Hahaha, NO! I don’t know why I cheated on my BH Four Seasons to stay in this hotel. Stay at Four SeasonS or London. I wouldn’t recommend this place; not a “Fine Hotel and Resort”. Worst experience. Expect the unexpected

This property had such a good reputation I didn’t mind spending the rate they charge nightly plus the resort fee or whatever. But I was charged two deposits, up front and in full for my stay then another 500 plus upon checkout. They were very unconcerned about Their multiple Banking errors on my birthday. Basically held 1300 of my shopping money at limbo just to see if I could afford to stay there I guess but never again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Do NOT waste your money!

What an absolute piss poor experience on all levels. We stayed here for two nights this past weekend and couldn't be more disappointed. On our first day the valve in the shower broke so water was flowing like Niagara Falls and could not be turned off. This created a lot of steam which then set off the (smoke detector) which I am not sure how that works. That was a 120DB going off for five mins straight into our ears. Finally they sent a guy to fix it and thankfully after he shut the water off to our floor he was able to fix the valve. The second problem was on the second day. After using the restroom I went to flush the toilet and the knob literally fell off the toilet. LOL.. this couldn't be real could it? So.. We once again called and told them to come fix something in our room. On the last day we went to check out and when handed our final bill we had someone else's rooms charges on it. It wasn't a small amount either. Our friends also had someone else's room service charges on their bill. Does Mr. C not validate the room name when someone asks to pay by room #? We also left an electronic toothbrush in the room so I called to inform them. They said they would call me back once the manager got back in to confirm they found it. They never called... So I called back the next day and the same story.. They never called me back! You would be better off at a Holiday Inn than staying here.. I can promise you that!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Unexpected additional expenses

I booked the room through with everything prepaid and with services included but was greeted with additional expenses as I checked in (for Internet, .... ). It was not an option to avoid the charges despite already covered by my reservation. Very unsatisfactory experience. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
