Please be Careful

DO NOT STAY AT MYSTIC DUNES. Initially, the resort seemed very impressive for the price, but we realized quickly that this is in support to their time share presentation. I normally wouldn’t mind the presentation because I knew what to prepare for, but theirs was so grossly irresponsible, I couldn’t believe it was real. I set my alarm on my phone a little past the 2 hour required stay and reminded the employees the entire time that they were behind and we would be leaving after our obligated 2 hours. They said that it might run over the time and that we were required to stay longer. I told them if they ran over the time that we would be leaving because that is very unprofessional and reflects poorly on their company. After 2 hours and 30 minutes, I told them that I was no longer interested in anything they had to say because of how unprofessional they were being, they responded that they would close my account and would be right back. They kept coming back with offers instead of closing my account and I was becoming more and more visibly upset. I walked over to some other clients that were also waiting alone and asked what they were waiting for. They said they were also waiting to leave, I responded that it might be a bit of a wait because I asked to leave 50 minutes ago. That’s when another associate of Dunes Mystic resort came up within 6 inches of me and told me I needed to sit down by myself and wasn’t allowed to talk to anyone. This didn’t make sense because they weren’t in a presentation either. I told him no and he got even closer and sternly told me that I would not be receiving any incentives for attending because I was not following their instructions. I told him that I followed their instructions for the required two hours and loudly asked him to back off me. I sat down waiting for the closeout again on the verge of tears. Another employee, more calm than the last sat down and asked if I was crying. I said yes and explained everything that happened so far. He responded how awful that was and how the other employee shouldn’t have treated me like that, but immediately after proceeded to question me as to why I didn’t want to buy a timeshare with them. They finally let me leave after 4 hours, double the amount of time required. Not sure why they even wanted to keep me there, since all it did was allow me time to research their “points” system instead of a time share, which is more of a scam because you pay for maintenance for non-members just paying for a stay (like we did). DO NOT STAY AT MYSTIC DUNES or any Diamond resort owned by their parent company Apollos, headquarters in Las Vegas. When I asked the hotel manager to be compensated for our 5-day stay (additional 2 hours presentation values at $800) the manager, Carlina Rodriguez, she apologized and promised to reimburse me the amount of the stay. They never reimbursed me and Carlina Rodriguez hasn’t responded when I tried to contact her. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Fun for all the family

Myself and my family have stayed at this resort on two occasions. It is a beautiful setting with great facilities onsite. Would highly recommend for family holiday. 10mins to Disney parks and 1mile walk to the strip where you can find shops and restaurants. What I feel this hotel would benefit from is a family wifi package as this did cause a few upsets with the children fighting over access and a larger better equipped fitness centre as this was disappointing. Mystic Dunes Nice Resort
Sep 25th, 2020
I stayed at the Mystic Dunes Resort this past August 2020 for 7 days. Very nice resort, very comfortable and quiet. The 2 bed room villa was large enough for me and my family. The resort is very close to Disney World. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Although staff is horrible, forgetful, and repetitively gave us a bad key and didn’t answer their phone, they did try to accommodate (manager) and make up for their mistake. The place is beyond nice, we didn’t get to try it all, but they have nice golf areas for everyone, pool, bbq areas, plenty of parking, and so on. I wouldn’t mind going back. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
