High class hotel with excellent service

Feb 3rd, 2020

I want to thank the hotel staff, especially Andrea from the reception and all the great staff, for making our stay in Venice so special. From the great welcome surprise in the room to the exelent breakfast and the special birthday surprise at breakfast. very important information is that the Alilaguna to from the airport and other vaporetto stop right infront of the hotel at s. angelo station.this make the hotel even more convinient. I highly recommend this hotel . TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great Location

Jan 12th, 2020

Stayed 4 nights over Christmas in this charming small Bed & Breakfast right on the Grand Canal with its own docking station and next to the Saint Angelo stop for the main vaporetto or airport boat the alilaguna. I say bed and breakfast rather than hotel because the hotel does not offer a restaurant in the evening and the feel is that of a contemporary guest house. Our room was a premium one, with a small window overlooking roof tops and not the grand canal. Comfy bed and white fluffy towels and bathrobes/slippers and coffee machine. The room had exposed beams with a vaulted ceiling which was nice and had this been a flat ceiling would have made the room feel tiny and claustrophobic. Bathroom modern but would recommend removing the baths as the sides are very high and at only 5ft 1 struggled to get my leg up and over to get into the shower safely. A lot is crammed into the bathroom so removal of bath and fitting a walk in shower would make the small space feel bigger and roomier. Also guests with poor mobility could utilise. Breakfast offered a good selection with all the usual fruits, pastries, yogurt with juices and eggs cooked fresh. On Christmas Day there was sparkling wine and enjoyed two glasses whilst we waited for the aqua Alta to retreat before venturing out. Venice flooded on 24th and 25th but it’s like the tide and retreats as the day goes on. In the middle of the night a siren can be heard warning Venetians the tide is coming then a series of serene twinkling music which gives indication of how high it will be! Amazing! Although on our first night we wondered if we were dreaming - sounds like an air raid siren! Hotel is clean and the staff very helpful. We were left little treats - chocolates in the room, a panettone in a little satin bag and a bauble with a ginger bread Christmas tree inside. Very nice indeed. Recommend if staying in Venice due to location without any pretence. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great location on the Grand Canal

Dec 27th, 2019

Recently stayed for 3 nights. The hotel is located on the Grand Canal directly in front of the Sant Angelo stop, making transfers using the vaporetto from the airport and train station extremely easy. The rooms are reasonable size, with all the basic amenities you would expect. As our room was an interconnecting room, noise was often heard from the neighboring room. Staff were generally friendly and helpful. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great service, amazing location

Nov 26th, 2019

Stayed here with my daughter...convenient location and staff was excellent, especially Costanza the AM clerk and Elisa the PM clerk. Room was well appointed and very clean. Would 100% recommend this hotel! We were nervous about the flooding but the Staff was accommodating and informative. We were given all the proper directions, they knew exactly when the Acqua altas were coming. Bought $8 euro shoe covers and it ended up being quite an enjoyable adventure, didn’t stop us from doing and seeing all the sights. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
