Average to good hotel

Feb 21st, 2020

This was an adequate hotel with some really lovely touches and attention to detail. At first we were given a windowless room but they did change it for us on request. Thank you Angela! The room & bathroom were very small but clean and practical. We did not love the position and found it too far from the hub. They did serve a good and beautifully set out breakfast. I can’t help but mention the unfriendly and inadequate service from the receptionist Maria. She is totally unsuited to this position in the hospitality industry. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Second time not so good

Feb 5th, 2020

We returned to NH NH Milano Palazzo Moscova three weeks after first staying there on arrival in Italy. Then, we were happy with the excellent service at reception and the hotel's location was good so we decided to come back and continue our Milano experience from where we left off, this time for three nights instead of one. We were put up in the same room we stayed in previously. This small room had skylights as the only natural light and a remote control to open and close them. On one night, there was a thunderstorm, interrupting our sleep due to lighting flashing across our faces. While it was possible to close the ‘blinds’ completely, it would have left the room pitch black. The location of the light switches and which lights they turned on and off (or not) managed to elude us so going to the bathroom was fraught. The bathroom switches were under the mirror and, if one didn’t end up knocking over some toiletries, one could suddenly turn on every light in the whole room with one click. We thought about leaving the bathroom light on but the door was opaque and the amount of light coming back into the room was much too bright. The rain on the skylights was also very noisy. Whenever someone entered or left their room on our section of the floor, the door would bang closed. Every time this happened, apart from the loud bang, our door would move from the air pressure, giving us the impression that someone was coming in. This was quite unnerving. On one evening, we decided to have a coffee and drink at the hotel bar. While the coffee was OK, catching the barmaid’s attention was difficult as she stayed in the kitchen, listening to loud music on her phone while, I imagine, preparing snacks to serve with drinks. Unfortunately, when we did get to order drinks, my Aperol Spritz was flat (using the last of a previously opened bottle of Prosecco) and my wife’s glass of Prosecco from a new bottle was warm. All in all, this is an OK hotel with great staff at reception but it is much too expensive for what it offers. At over 700€ for three nights, we couldn’t justify staying there again. Hector Herrera

Very happy with the excelente service provided by Maria at the front desk, Antonella at the restaurant always going beyond and making sure we had the best vacation, the chef which unfortunately forgot his name but was always very attentive preparing our morning omelette. Further the Front desk attendant from Venezuela which resolved minor room issues in a very quick satisfactory way! Finally the bartender/waitress/chef that was present during dinner in charge of the restaurant, she was extremely efficient, friendly and a very good cook! The hotel is nice, clean and in a nice area quite close to downtown,15 minutes walk! Will definitely go back for my next trip in Milan thanks to the excellent customer service! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
