Quarantine in comfort

Traveling during a pandemic can be stressful. The New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge makes the experience delightful. I spent two nights there, and from the person at the parking garage, conveniently located under the hotel, to my warm welcome at check-in, I felt wanted and valued. My room was spacious, with a lovely sitting area, and a comfortable bed. The hotel has closed the Fitness Center, both restaurants, and room service - but on check in, I saw a 3-page (front and back) list of restaurants that deliver. A friend recommended downloading the Seamless delivery app, and with that, I was able to quarantine successfully. The New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge made a potentially stressful situation as pleasant and comfortable as possible. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We stayed here for a quick weekend staycation during the pandemic. The room was clean and the service was good. We weren’t able to use any of the amenities due to the pandemic, but they gave us 1 day of free WiFi. I would say the walls are a little thin. I was able to hear the people across the hall. It sounded like they were in the hall way the entire night. Everything else was comfortable. The room comes equipped with a mini fridge, smart TV and blow dryer. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Poor customer service!

I came to the Marriott to celebrate my anniversary with everything that’s going on, I originally booked one night, but I slept in late, so I booked another night, on the first day there someone called and made a complaint about loud music being played, there wasn’t any music being played from my room, security called and say people are complaining about my room, instead of questioning was it music being played he said if another compliment come on you will be asked to leave, that was very unprofessional. The covers on the bed was very dirty it had what looked like blood stains on them, I called the front desk to ask for a never cover the lady said it’s no covers but she’ll send a blanket up. Now what really made me upset was around 2pm on Saturday the front desk receptionist called and said check out was at 11am why are you still in your room. I originally booked 1 night but ended up booking a second night, this whole experience was so unprofessional! I went downstair to show an email where I booked another night! She looked me in my face and LIED! she said I said to come downstairs to reactivate your key, I said No you said check out was at 11am why am I still in the room, those 2 things can not be confused! I also booked an upper floor room, they only had rooms available on the 4th and 6th floor and it was so smelly in the hallways. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I came to New York as a nurse to help out with COVID 19. I was so blessed to check in to this hotel where all staff were willing to go above and beyond to help me. The room is impeccably clean, and so is the hotel. Thank you, all of you, for helping me help you. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This place is serviceable, as a generic large conference hotel. But the continuous fail of their service staff is atrocious. I had an issue with hair that wasn’t mine being in the bed upon checkin. Yes, that’s super gross and revolting. But I get that it can happen. It’s the dismissive attitude of, first, the housekeeping staff and then the general manager that I can’t abide. Maybe he’s used to strange peoples hair in his bed at home. Regardless, I certainly won’t be back. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
