Nice rooms, watch out for the restaurants!
Nov 22nd, 2020
We stayed for one night. There was a check in line that was very lengthy and didn't feel very safe from a distancing perspective. Once we got to our room, it was quiet and very clean. Towels and necessities were well stocked. Beds were clean and comfy. The hotel is in a great location. The restaurant is a other story! We got takeout, and were still charged an automatic 18% gratuity. We were told there was no room to negotiate on this fee. The food for dinner and breakfast was priced absolutely exorbitantly! My friend got the French onion soup to go - for $15, a small cup of broth and one piece of cheese toast in a container. It was laughable. I recommend ordering food from elsewhere. Very nice stay
Nov 22nd, 2020
We stayed on a friday night in late October. We booked the travelzoo package for two queen beds. We received a room on the 10th floor which had a great view of both the American and Canadian falls. The rooms were in good shape and the bathroom was quite nice, looks like they have been renovated recently. Our package included a $50 credit for dinner at Mortons. We dined at 7:30 and had a table by the window, great view and excellent service from Anna, we really enjoyed our meal. We also went for breakfast the following morning and you get a credit of $20 off your breakfast. We went at 8:30 and pretty much had the place to ourselves, the food was just ok. All in all, we had a great time and would come back to this hotel again when we could do more things. The only downside is the ridiculous cost of parking, which is $45 plus tax. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Was told the pool and hot tub were open. Got there and the hot tub was closed. That’s why I booked the weekend there. Parking is way over priced. $35.99 a night plus tax. No room service or cleaning. Would not stay there again, TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Sleep Cheap! But they'll nail you on the food!!
Nov 16th, 2020
Every year they offer Sleep Cheap to us local residents of Niagara. So my daughters birthday is coming up and I decided to treat us to a nights stay. The room was only 35$, river view. I was able to upgrade for $20 and get a great view (see pic attached). So we loved the room. I'm a chef locally in Niagara. I know food. I was ok knowing food at the hotels restaurant Morton's Grill would be a bit pricey, you're paying for the view. And I let my daughter get whatever she wanted to eat. (We had a pretty rough day earlier due to horrible weather, high winds ripping my car door off and then all the headache that ensued from that). For 2 people (myself and daughter) my bill at the restaurant came to $253!! And I dont drink!! The 6ounce steak was 50$. Additional $16 for a potato. Additional $16 for 7 pieces of asparagus!! Outrageous price gouging. I know how much it cost to put that food on the plate!! Because of that, I will not return to the Marriott and say to the hotel..."For shame on you!" Ps. I told our server it was my daughters birthday. You'd think they'd throw in a complimentary dessert. But no..they charged us 16$ for a piece of molten cake and ice cream that comes out of a Sysco truck. I have a foul taste permanently in my mouth, Marriott. NO thank you! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Weekend Family Getaway
Nov 15th, 2020
Our family of four stayed in an executive suite for the weekend. The room had an excellent view of the falls, one of the best on the strip. There is a sitting room with a pullout sofa and large TV. The separate room was great for the kids to play in and watch their shows (we brought our Fire TV to plug in) while us parents chilled in the bedroom watching our preferred shows on the other TV. As one can see by the date, our visit was during the COVID pandemic. Maid service was suspended to reduce staff contact with guests and we had to call down for a few extra towels when needed. They requested dirty towels be left in the hall. The hotel was kept very clean. We used the pool twice and staff were always popping in to tidy up and keep towels well stocked. FYI the hot tub was closed due to COVID precautions and the hotel asks that only ten people be in the pool at a time. Because of this we had to wait once for some other guests to leave so we could take our turn. Not all guests were as considerate however and I would have liked the hotel to post guidelines for occupancy to reinforce safety protocols. Dinner at the steakhouse was delicious and the kids portions were generous. Breakfast was a la cart and a little underwhelming. The restaurant was kept spotless though and the staff were friendly and did their best to keep guests socially distanced. They ask you wear a mask when a server or busser approaches the table. I wish all restaurants in Ontario enforced this rule to protect their staff. Valet as noted by many is $45/night. Sunday, when we checked out at noon, no less than 25 other families were trying to get their cars at the same time, maybe more. I suggest at this busy time calling ahead around half an hour. All-in-all we had a relaxing stay and a much needed getaway. I’ve always liked this hotel and would happily stay again soon. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
