Denmark closes borders - no help from Nobis

Mar 14th, 2020

Denmark closed its borders to foreign travelers for 30 days and Nobis refused to refund our rooms. Repeatedly, they pointed us to their normal cancellation policies. Lesson learned -- would never book here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Modern Luxury Meets Danish Hospitality

Feb 9th, 2020

I was skeptical at first when my husband booked a Starwood hotel in Copenhagen. I was hoping for more authentic Danish lodging... However, I have to say I was blown away upon arrival at Nobis. The service was impeccable, the staff were all friendly, attentive, and speak perfect English. The bellboy quickly assisted us with our luggage, the check in staff completed the check in within 5 minutes... and she gave us super good tips on where to go/ see in Copenhagen. I was also impressed that all the staff look like they just came out from Burberry catalogue; but after a few days stay in Copenhagen, I realized everyone here look/ dress really well! The rooms are quite small but we love the perfect marriage of classic European and modern Danish interior! The room size is perfect for single or couple travellers. They hotel also provides bike rental though we decided to use donkey bike rental app because we would like the freedom to drop and pick our bikes anywhere. Last but not least, I was impressed by Nobis breakfast arrays! (I uploaded photos below) Probably the best of Starwood hotel breakfast in Europe... My husband said the food is a bit bland but I was blown away by the freshness... fresh avocado, tomatoes, rosti, pancakes, homemade yoghurt, fresh forest honey... and the black coffee is really black it provides enough caffeine for us to bike around the city for entire day. Perfecto! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent service!

Feb 3rd, 2020

The hotel staff were really quite good with providing information, help or any other sort of service you might need. The hotel itself is stylish and clean, with a very Scandinavian feel to it. While I was on the 3rd floor on a fairly quiet and private room, it is true that some rooms feel really exposed in the ground floor right inside the reception area, in quite bizarre set up. I found it to be a fairly comfortable and well located, though the price tag does seem quite steep - even for Danish levels. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice hotel close to everything

Jan 31st, 2020

Nice hotel in a great location next to Tivoli Park. Stroget shopping street is 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel is not big, lobby is small and front desk staff are super friendly, cheerful and helpful. Rooms are small. I stayed in a Junior suite which was fine but the furniture needs an upgrade. This is a category 7 five star hotel in Marriott collection and the furniture is less than what find in a four stars hotel. The wardrobe in the junior suite is very tiny like a child's wardrobe. The disk is small. Bathroom is fine with beautiful marbling. The bed is comfortable but the mattress is not covered from the sides. For a $600 per night suite I was expecting more. Apart from the furnitures, I really appreciate how friendly the front desk staff are. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Comfortable, but noisy and no breakfast

Jan 25th, 2020

Stayed here 20th Jan for business and was hoping for nothing more than a cup of night time tea, ironing facilities, a bed and breakfast. Upon check in (quick) I was informed the restaurant was closed so there could be no breakfast. A colleague had checked in earlier so had made a decision for us to eat somewhere else the next morning since we had things to discuss before the day's meetings, but I understand a room service breakfast would have been available. The room was spacious and comfortable but I needed to request a kettle and ironing board before I could get to bed. This arrived quite promptly but I didn't receive any cups with the kettle meaning I needed to drink my tea from the nespresso cups in the room. The iron was effective so top marks there. Having settled into bed I soon heard what was about to become a problem for the rest of the night. A church bell tower which played a tune and rang every hour, meaning I was initially woken up every hour of the night. Struggled to get to sleep between each ring but don't remember hearing the 2-5am bells (needed to be up at 6 to get to the other breakfast venue before our 8 am meeting). Bottom line is I didn't wake up feeling refreshed. Will look for somewhere else to stay on my next visit to Copenhagen. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
