We keeping going back - and feel welcomed every time!

Jul 21st, 2019

I have been traveling to SoBe for over 10 years and tried many hotels along the beach – esp. those with great views. (Side bar - love the Green Monkey for yoga and DIRT for brunch!!) My husband and I (dating at the time) tried Nobu a few years ago – as a newbie to the hotel – and did not have the best customer experience. It was over-crowded and not staffed correctly due to snowstorms in the North East keeping people grounded. This said, as we got engaged that weekend, so we did our best to enjoy and celebrate! I sent a short email to the management after we left – as I thought they would like to know of the concerns– and they responded, directly. That was over 3 yrs. ago and we’ve been back multiple times, since. Specifically, Nigel llobregat, has repeatedly gone above/beyond to ensure our reservations are set up, dinner and spa reservations made, and the overall experience is the best, ever since! Room recommendations and the most competitive pricing publicly available is so appreciated! I think it’s very difficult for any customer facing position to be easy these days – especially with the ‘power’ of social media. This said, I do believe Nobu truly cares about the experience their customers have and they have consistently done the best they can for us! Which is why we keep going back! PS – we normally fly in on a Thursday night and start with dinner at…. Nobu…of course! PPS – Did I mention the amazing spa??? TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Blissful stay

Jul 21st, 2019

We were at the Nobu Hotel this past week and had a great time. The room was beautiful with a touch of Asian esthetic which was soothing and pleasing. We had an ocean view and balcony which made for a serene environment. Especially as the sun rose it was quite beautiful. The pool was busy but we got up early and secured chairs. And our server Amanda was wonderful. I also need to thank Raul D in reservations for his assistance and charm. He was absolutely delightful helping us get a wonderful package that included breakfast every morning. And he did it with a terrific disposition. We had about a hundred questions for him and not once did he seem put off with all of our questions. He went out of his way to make sure we had the right deal for us and we appreciated him. We will return again as we had an incredible time. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I can’t even

Jul 20th, 2019

So incredibly tacky! Forget getting a chair at the pools, it is SO overcrowded! The Nobu shares pools with the Eden Roc and one of the pools is closed. This was not disclosed upon booking the hotel. The lawn area with one of its pools has been closed every day for a private party. It’s like being at an inexpensive, party hopping all inclusive. Security checks your bags upon entering the pool to make sure you aren’t bringing in outside food or drinks. You can’t even bring a freaking water to the pool! Water bottles they sell here, 16 ounces, is $7! Malibu Farms-the restaurant here-is less than stellar. The quality and appeal of food is so bad yet it’s $40 for one large shrimp and farro. The first time it came out it wasn’t even cooked! My sister’s drink had a big hair in it. (I get these things happen but it just adds to this hot mess of a place!) Don’t be fooled by the zen/spa/serene promise they advertise online. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere in Miami. There are so many better hotels here. Lesson learned! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Tacky and Tragic

Jul 20th, 2019

I’ve been coming to South Beach for work and pleasure for years. This was my first (and last!) stay at the Nobu Hotel, which is not its own hotel but the more expensive sister hotel to the dumpy Eden Roc. Amenities of the hotel are shared with Eden Roc so if you are planning to get a zen, upscale experience, go elsewhere. Anywhere. Pool is a zoo, you likely cannot get a seat. Nobu pool isn’t even open. One guest brought his own speaker into the pool...I guess to share his tunes with everyone else. Yeah, no thanks. Service is tragic. Everyone I spoke to started their job within the last 2-4 months which means there is a ton or turnover. Nobody seems to know what they are doing. Scene is sketchy and pool security can’t keep up with chasing people out. I called for ice to be delivered to the room and it finally arrived 30 mins later....handed over in a plastic bag. No ice bucket in the room. No pen or paper in the room either. Look forward to another trip to south beach soon but will def be staying elsewhere. Zero reason to ever return here. Restaurant Staff Made My Trip!!

Jul 20th, 2019

The hotel was beautiful. Artwork and architecture galore! The most impressive part of my trip was probably breakfast lol From the front with Elisha and Victor to the table with Pierre and Nathan, I was definitely greeted and treated very well. It was my first time in Miami and the rich cultural diversity of the city was so amazing. I’m thoroughly convinced the best fruit in the country was sliced here just for me to enjoy. 😋 The squid pasta at Nobu and the veggie pizza at Malibu Farm were amazing also! As a total foodie I must recommend Nobu Eden Roc!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
