No empathy, no hospitality

I booked Notting Hill Hotel for my family to stay from 20th of this month and the booking reference number is 3646138972. I couldn't travel to London due to travel restrictions which emerged as the effect of Corona Virus epidemic. I wanted to cancel the booking during this time and book again with new dates in July. I called and spoke to the hotel who asked me to send an email which i did. The reply was that hotel will charge me full amount no matter what. I was more than happy to pay the difference for the new dates however they are not interested in future business i suppose. To the management of the hotel to know my flights, train and other hotel booking that i had all of them reimbursed my money 100% as it was not in my control. They understood and showed empathy and i did appreciate their gesture and made multiple future bookings with them for July. Overall i feel i am not heard and had to share this somewhere as the telephone and email did not help me. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This place was very nice and we loved the location, very close by to Notting Hill Gate station and bus stops, restaurants, supermarkets. The staff working was very nice and helpful. Good size en-suite room, clean and comfortable, better than we expected. Good value for the stay in London, would certainly stay here again TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Clean . Double bed certainly is not a double. Certainly don’t know what the second bed was doing in a double room which limited our space. Asked hotel to phone a taxi for us to go to The Royal Albert Hall which cost £15.00. Got a black cab back which only cost £8.00. Found out that the hotel gets commission for guests to use their taxi firm. RIP OFF. Breakfast was appalling. Croissants and bread stale. Space in dining room, well there wasn’t any. Excellent location, comfortable Hotel

The location of the hotel is perfect as it is in a nice and quiet neighbourhood, near to Notting Hill Gate station, all amenities are available in walking distance. The room is not Spacious, but in my experience that's normal in central London. Room is comfortable and clean, they provide daily room service, new towels, shampoo....,tea and coffee facilities, the front desk is very helpful and friendly, good wifi. Absolutely avoid !! Dishonest and fraudulent, we booked a room 2 months ago through Booking.com and only three days before departure, we were informed of the cancellation of the reservation due to problems with the credit card. We called the hotel directly for clarification and they were absolutely not interested in solving the problem, even though we had more than one credit card available: our room was no longer available!!! It is clear that this is a fraud, and that the structure has probably canceled our 4 night reservation (made two months ago !!) in favor of other reservations for a greater number of nights or at a higher price. This is a sign of misconduct in tourism and hotel management, of poor customer and tourism consideration. We will never forget this bad experience, and will do what in our possibility to discourage this behaviour even with our legal forces. This is not acceptable, as we have great damage because three days before the departure we've not a room , we've bought flght ticket, booked some experience in london.
