Good hotel and plenty of parking

Nov 14th, 2019

A good 1 night stay here - plenty of car parking though a couple of dark corners which could be improved. Its near a main road and a stadium - we had a room at the back so no noise issues Breakfast was quite good but not excellent - also no chocapic - our favourite french ceral. Good room with 2 double beds and a seprate toilet and bathroom - great for families Its certainly walkable to town and the main attractions - allow 10-15 minutes and much easier than trying to drive/park there. Overall a good stay and we would stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Comfortable Room

Nov 1st, 2019

I stayed in this hotel for three nights last June while visiting the Normandy area. The hotel was easy to find with plenty of free parking. The Reception was very helpful. My room was very comfortable with good bed, A/C and Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, there was no mini-bar. Breakfast was very good. It is an easy walk to the old part of Bayeux. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Group visit to Bayeux

Oct 18th, 2019

We were a group of 42, from the Probus Club in Milton, Ontario, Canada, and stayed at this well located hotel for three nights while visiting the surrounding areas of Normandy. The hotel is situated close to the Bayeux Cathedral and the Bayeux Tapestry, walkable if you prefer. Accommodation was good, comfortable bed and adequate bathroom facilities. Breakfast was just o.k., cooked foods such as scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and pancakes were cold every day, everything else was fine. The hot (or in every instance cold) breakfasts in each hotel we visited in our 15 day French trip, left a lot to be desired-stick to crusty bread, cereals, yoghurt etc. Coffee machine was fine: the nightly dinners were fairly good, salmon and chicken were tasty. Staff were helpful and friendly. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Hotel Lacks Charm and Outside of Town

Oct 16th, 2019

We stayed at the hotel as part of a tour group with Gate 1 Travel. The hotel is boxy looking just off a traffic circle outside Bayeux. It makes a good base for visiting the D-Day sites in Normandy, but it is a fairly long walk into town for restaurants and other activities. We did enjoy the hotel's breakfasts, including the best American style coffee that we had in France. Our room was fine - nothing special good or bad. The staff was friendly, with good service at the restaurant and bar. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A great base for visiting Normandy

Oct 14th, 2019

A large group of us (approx 100 people) stayed here for a charity function commemorating the 75th anniversary of D-Day. Despite our number the staff served us well! We were pleased by the hotel: the breakfast was plentiful and there was much to choose from (scrambled eggs weren't great but the sausages and bacon were delicious, as were the croissants!!). The rooms are basic but clean and beds were comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The window decorated with D-Day motifs and staff wearing Breton topics commemorating D-Day made us feel welcomed. We could easily walk into town from the hotel. I would recommend this as a place to visit the surrounding area and would return here. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
