Good location for exploring

Aug 18th, 2019

Stayed here as 2 adults and 2 kids for three nights in August. The rooms are basic - they could probably do with getting rid of the painted pebble dash walls and ceilings in the rooms to update them but they were clean and had a modern bathroom and a small fridge. The children liked the outdoor pool which was heated. There was also a small kiddie area in reception which kept them amused for a short time. Breakfast had a good selection of food. Great location for exploring D-Day and war time sights and also for visiting Bayeux as well. Would stay again and recommend to other families. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice hotel, would stay again.

Aug 15th, 2019

The wife and I booked four nights at this hotel to check out some of the history of the area. We arrived after 11pm on a Sunday evening and the gentleman who checked us in was exceptionally friendly. The breakfast was nice, but if I had one criticism it would be about the cheese selection. France has so many great hard cheeses but all anyone seems to want is Brie or Camembert. I don’t particularly like either and would have appreciated a little variety. I found the staff at this hotel very friendly without being intrusive. The waiting staff were attentive to your needs but waited to clear your table until you had finished unless you asked. Over fussy staff is something I don’t find very appealing. The location is perfect for runs up and down the Normandy cost from Utah Beach at one end to Caen at the other. It’s also very easy to walk into Bayeux of an evening. We enjoyed our time here and would visit again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice hotel, friendly staff, good location

Aug 12th, 2019

This hotel was a good homebase for our adventures throughout the Dday sites and the Normandy. The rooms were clean and ok size. The staff were very friendly. The restaurant was good, but slightly over priced compared to others downtown. But the waiters were wonderful. You have to cut through the restaurant to get to the pool, which is a little odd. We would definitely stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Second visit!

Aug 2nd, 2019

This is our second visit - and not our last! The staff are friendly, helpful and professional. The rooms are standard business style and therefore a little soul-less, but there is a hospitality tray and also a fridge, rather than a mini-bar. Excellent breakfast with lots of hot and cold choices. It is an easy 15min. stroll into the city centre where there are lots of restaurants/eateries. Although we didn't try the restaurant, the choices looked very tempting and good value. there is a good size pool and a very pleasant outdoor seating area, plus quite a large garden. Parking is on-site with lots of places. The only negative comment is about the bath/shower, where a grab bar would be a very good idea! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Normandy Visit

Jul 8th, 2019

We were in Normandy to visit the American Cemetery and WWII sites, and the hotel location was excellent for those activities. Our rooms were very nice and clean, the staff was extremely helpful and the buffet breakfast was great. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
