A long and bad holiday

Jul 18th, 2019

I stayed at this hotel in Jan this year and was very happy with it. So I decided to stay here for 10 nights with my fiance. When we arrived, I felt a bit sad the receptionist was not helpful and I didn't feel welcome at all. Although I asked him to help to request his manager about a confirmation letter about my stay which I need to give to a register office for my marriage, he said he would inform his manager but when we asked for the letter some days after, no one has heard about it. The room was super dirty and the staff even didn't change the bed clothes despite the stains. One day, there was no one to come and make up the room for us. I had to complain with a receptionist to get it done. The room was always so smelly that I had to use my perfume to make it better and we spent almost the time outside instead. The bathroom was not cleaned properly, it was so easy to find stains in the toilet and the sink. I wish I hadn't booked this hotel for this long stay. I will be travelling frequently to Liverpool but will never stay here ever again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Home from Home

Jul 17th, 2019

I stay at this hotel regularly while working in Liverpool, often my wife accompanies me. The Hotel is a busy city centre hotel, it’s is clean and comfortable with good standard rooms, nice food and excellent facilities. What makes this Hotel special is the staff, many of whom are young, and like me working away from home. They make this hotel a home from home, they are more than polite, they are friendly and have become friends. The surprised that confronted myself and my wife when we returned to our room on the eve of our wedding anniversary left us speechless, it was so thoughtful. I could name many individuals, but would, almost certainly, miss someone out which would be cruel so I will content myself with saying a massive thank you to Cyril and all of his staff. Great location

Jul 17th, 2019

Stayed here for one night and loved the location. They are currently renovating the foyer so it looks quite ordinary at the moment. The room was clean and comfortable, but it was extremely difficult to get in and out of the bath for a shower as it was very high and extremely slippery. They really need non slip mats. Breakfast was good. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great Hotel

Jul 16th, 2019

I stayed here with my family of 4 for a long weekend. Room was a clean and a good size for a base. The location is brilliant only 5 min walk from train station , docks and shops with a Tesco right on doorstep. The pool is small but good enough for my 2 boys to play in , floor space in pool and steam room could have been a bit cleaner. We had an issue with sofa bed and it was sorted right away. Staff all lovely and very helpful. Would stay again next time we are in Liverpool. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent central hotel

Jul 11th, 2019

Not the most efficient check in I’ve ever had, but I’m prepared to give them some slack on this as they are currently in the middle of a renovation of the reception area, so are using a temporary table by the bar. So to the room, the first thing I notice is “we’re not in London anymore Toto” the room is huge compared to the ones in the big smoke. It is spotlessly clean and has everything you could need, including: a double bed, sofa, Ironing board and Iron, Small table with (I think) a Radio (I didn’t try it), Hair-dryer (essential for me) and a USB charging port by the side of the bed, it’s en-suite and a first for me the toilet is in a separate room from the bathroom. The room was cleaned daily... and here in lies a story, I ventured out, Alexa the lying **** told me it wasn't gonna rain ... I got soaked so headed back to the hotel to change jackets and frighten the bejesus out of the maid, well the door was open when I got back, so I walked in and said “Hi” to which she screamed and (possibly verbally doubted my parentage) but as I don’t speak the language she does I’ll just think that she said something like “Ooh you made me jump”  If anyone at the hotel reads this please apologise to the lady for me. Great hotel would definitely use again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
