The hotel is well suited close to the city center and the attractions of the city. An underground parking place is available and has places for EV charging. Parking costs 30EUR/day. Due to COVID masks are obligatory and for breakfast the restaurant requires pre-booking of a slot, service wasn’t so nice and people were a bit not welcoming, I’m not sure if that was due to the obligatory masks which turns everyone’s life into hell. This is our second visit ad I think the hotel location still makes it as one of the good options to visit the city in comparison to others which we visited. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Good stay in Luxembourg

Stayed in this hotel two times for business, always last minute bookings. Hotel accommodating with nice staff and outstanding breakfast (Red Square restaurant is in general very good). Bit pricey hotel for what you get, but that's overall in Luxembourg. (stayed in September 2018 and February 2019). TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Comfortable Hotel in a good location

We only stayed here one night. The staff were very helpful. The room was very comfortable. The hotel is undergoing some renovations and the staff did apologise, but there was no need as it did not impact on our stay. We had a renovated room from what we were told and it was great. The location is a little bit of a walk from the centre of the old town - about 10-15 mins and over one of the main bridges (from the direction of the train station neighbourhood) and the staff member on duty had some useful advice about the surrounding neighbourhoods. Novotel never disappoint

Novotel hotels are my favourite brand and I stay with them everywhere I go. This hotel has beaten my expectations yet again with a lovely room, friendly staff and great entertainment. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Luxembourg as it has been a pleasure to stay here. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Not as great as it could be

All in all, this place doesn’t live up to its potential and everything considered (including Luxemburg hotel rates) you end up leaving with the feeling that you didn’t get your money’s worth. Service and attention to detail are the biggest letdowns. Let me start by the pros. I had a renovated room, which was bright and spacious with ample storage space. The sofa (bed) didn’t make the room feel cramped at all, which is a feat in itself. People on business could easily stay here for a few days without feeling cooped up or tripping over luggage. Super clean! Extra points for separating toilet from bathroom and the great shower. Decent and - for hotel norms - cosy bar. Service needs some work, however. My check-in was already a bit haphazard. Clearly the computer system wasn’t playing ball and was stressing the receptionist out. That said, she handled things to the best of her ability and was cheerful throughout. I was a bit uncomfortable with having to ask for my membership privileges myself, but she went the extra mile to get me a slightly later check-out which was much appreciated. Things went downhill in the morning when it turned out the big notices in the elevators stating “we’re doing renovation work but you will have no noise disruption because of that” were taking the mickey. Just be truthful about such things upfront and people will be less annoyed by it. Upon checkout there was confusion because the payment didn’t take into account used loyalty points (and even though I had that clearly stated on my booking confirmation, I was given the impression that this was my fault as I should have mentioned it again upon check-in). This time no cheerful demeanour to make up for all the hassle. On the contrary, I was just made to feel like I was creating problems (and at one point ignored). In the end, a manager was consulted and apparently the issue had a quick fix. It would have been nice if that was the go-to-setting (consulting a manager) instead of having to go through the rigmarole of huffing, puffing and making people feel unwelcome. It was a sour end to a great stay. I should probably also note that the invoice you get in case of express check-out creates a lot of confusion (invoicing two breakfasts just in case you have some, etc.). Personally, I’d prefer the invoice to be sent at a later time (not 6ish in the morning) and be correct from the first go. Add to that some minor details (one complimentary bottle of water in a double room... really?) and I ended up feeling paying dear for what I got, especially in comparison to other hotels of the same chain. A pity, cause the new rooms are grand and I fee the hotel has a lot of potential still, but I won’t stay here on my next trip in a couple of months. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
