Enjoyable hotel but not the best...

Aug 21st, 2019

Went here with some friends and we mostly enjoyed the experience. The price was very reasonable for the hotel and it has a nice swimming pool and bar area with the staff being very friendly and all speaking excellent English. They were also very helpful in giving tourist information. The rooms are also very smart and modern. However the location of the hotel is quite annoying as you have to catch a bus to get to Marbella or Puerto Benus and you can only buy single tickets for the bus. There is a nice beach which is a 20 minute walk away however. There’s also a very busy main road near the hotel which you can here at night if your room is on the South side of the hotel. We also had an ant infestation in our room and ended up having to move. Lastly the food was like School dinner food (maybe even worse). We had half board and the breakfast wasn’t bad but dinner was not enjoyable and there weren’t many vegetarian options either! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Staff were friendly but apart from that it was terrible, the location is bad unless you have a car the food was very poor the one night I ate dinner here I was sick. Our room looked nothing like what you see on the net, it looks old and dated especially the bathroom. When my son tried to turn a light on the switch fell off the wall, maintenance were in and out for a couple of hours trying to fix it eventually glued the switch back on the wall and was told not to use it!! Needless to say we will NEVER go back. Photos below of our room. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Family break

Jul 24th, 2019

Where do I start.... On arrival only one person on reception, who was booking trips for another guest which took around 25-30 mins to complete leaving us stood waiting. The room.... OMG what a shock, I know its a 3 star ? hotel but, no matter what level, you do expect your room to be clean. The wardrobe doors had thick dust on them, the floors and walls were covered in squashed and dead mosquitoes, hair and dust balls all over the floor and bathroom, along with black mould in the bathroom virtually everywhere. I asked at reception to move rooms or to get someone to come and clean it, this was seen as a great irritation and major inconvenience and it took over an hour to come and only appeared to have dusted the wardrobe doors, the rest remained the same. We booked B@B as we liked to explore and eat out, again with a dual carriage way running behind the hotel all the restaurant's ran either side along this road, it was like eating in a service station, breathing in all the lovely fumes and listening to the noise. No where was easy to get to. The one time we decided to grab a snack from the hotel bar, we where refused and told to eat from the buffet menu at 14 euros per head. This was again reported to reception and he apologised and said this should not of happened. I could go on..... If you do go here take a duster and some cleaning materials, never again!!! Holiday with friends

Jul 19th, 2019

We stayed for 4 nights the rooms were very basic, but clean and well presented. Sadly there was no kettle but, there was a fridge provided (with nothing in it) which worked to our advantage as we were able to keep water and drinks in there. Bathroom was clean and a good size but a few hairs (if being picky). Cleaned every day and beds made up. Only one bath towel provided for each person (little hack for girls with long hair, hide a towel in the wardrobe then you'll have 2 for the next day) towels changed everyday. The aircon was amazing!! and quiet too so we could sleep with it on. We thought it was an over 16s hotel but clearly was NOT as the first night we arrived there was a large Spanish family there with kids running round. The next day some kind of kids party or something meaning there was probably 20 kids running round bombing into the pool. It meant we had to move sun beds as we were getting soaked constantly. This hotel seemed to have a lot of very large groups booking in, an American school were staying with 65 kids and another group of 25+ Americans, large group of Spanish children having their party. There was also a hen do and 2 stag dos in the time we were there. Although we did have some days were there was hardly anyone there and maybe 1 or 2 kids but they were very well behaved. The food is limited, one of our group was vegetarian and was often left having to just eat salad or plain spaghetti. Deserts were horrendous literally no choice. We went all inclusive and on the drinks and snacks side we definitely got our money's worth. We did go out twice for dinner at the pizzeria just round the corner, lovely food, staff and great prices. The hotel and bar staff were wonderful really friendly and helpful, shout out to Mario (the tall bartender). We had absolutely no idea how to get to the beach but knew it involved a bit of a trek down the motorway over a footbridge so we ended up getting a taxi to Marbella 2 days in a row (€22ish one way, 5cent every 5 seconds). The hotel has a couple of bars and restaurants near by but not much else. Sadly its the wrong side of the motorway. If you're not bothered about limited food selection and not going to the beach and just chilling by the pool then this hotel is really great. It does seem to be in a very Spanish area, it doesn't really cater for English speaking tourists, we did feel like we stuck out a bit. Sadly there was no kind of entertainment except for a pool table which was €1 a go. They do have free WiFi which was a little slow but okay. I would return but maybe only for a 2 day midweek break where I wouldn't leave the hotel except to go back to the pizzeria. If you go on the weekend it's likely there will be kids around. It is a lovely hotel, I would request a room on the first floor not ground floor as you will be right next to the pool. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
