Escape to Beautiful Beachside Surroundings and Tranquility
Nov 5th, 2020
The stressors of every day life fade away at this seaside retreat. Boasting the ambience of a grand hotel of yesteryear, an amazing staff tends to your every need. Sit out on the porch or take a walk on the beach and let your cares slip away! A stroll through the hallways and living room offer views of an amazing art collection. In fact, they are home to the second biggest collection of "Madeleine" creator, Ludwig Bemelmans, work. It includes two of thirteen panels that resided on Aristotle Onassis's ship, the Christina! Enjoy a meal par excellence in one of the hotels many restaurants including a private dining experience at Fondue Village, in a Vermont ski gondola. Take a ride to their Preserve Sporting Club where you dine in the storybook setting of a private hobbit hole, reminiscent of Tolkien's, Lord of the Rings. Fall activities at the Ocean House include: boating, sailing, yoga, golf, cooking and wine classes, indoor swimming, hotel and art tours. A trip to the Preserve Sporting Club offers the ultimate sporting experience with kayaking, ziplining, skiing, rock climbing, tennis, fishing, etc., etc., etc. The list is endless! I can't say enough about the experience! We returned home, rested and happy, looking forward to our next visit. Life is short...treat yourself...you deserve it! Ann-Michele TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Hospitality at its best!
Nov 3rd, 2020
Just returned from a long weekend stay at the Ocean House. Even in gloomy weather this place shines. Everything is 5 stars, with an incredible staff to match. Accommodations: Narragansett Suite is well appointed, spacious and very comfortable. The views from the terrace are incredible. Coast restaurant: superb menu, wine list and service. It’s nice to have a place where one can dress up for dinner! Bistro restaurant: casual, but not unsophisticated. Perfect for lunch or dinner. Not to be missed is the hotel’s sister property - The Preserve Club (30 min away). Plenty of activities there including an amazing shooting range. In summary, we can’t wait to return! Wow. Spectacular everything
Oct 31st, 2020
My wife and I went there last weekend and we wished we stayed longer. From when we pulled up the service was exemplary. Check in was so personalized and they took us to our room. We met some friends and always felt very welcome and safe during COVID. We went downstairs to the billiards room and although it was hard to find it was super nice. The TVs do need some Tlc but we were there to play pool. The room views are amazing. What a great place to stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Cant wait to return

We went for a birthday celebration and could not have been more pleased. Location was excellent and even though weather was cool we could walk on the beach and enjoy the scenery. Hotel was spotless and COVID precautions adhered to strictly. Staff could not have been helpful and always attentive. When we checked out we left medication behind in room in error. We were called in time to come back and pick up before getting too far away. Spa was great as were the culinary services. Dinner at Coast was an excellent experience and the Bistro was always good. The real highlight though was a private cooking demo/lunch with Chef Kate. She was talented, knowledgeable and adapted to our preferences. I highly recommend her and the experience. Overall Ocean House exceeded our expectations during we can’t wait to return. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
I could live in my room, everything was perfect
Oct 24th, 2020
We only stayed one night and we had the Ocean View Deluxe with Balcony. We were celebrating many occasions and hotel staff and manager made sure everything was perfect from check in to check out. Our room was gorgeous, large and cozy all at the same time and best of all, CLEAN! with exception to greasy fingerprints on the closet door. Bar and snacks were complimentary, which was an added plus. We opted for room service for dinner and for breakfast which we enjoyed on the balcony. Everything they do feels special, even with room service. The roll in a cart, the food is covered, still and sparkling water provided, breads and pastries, fine linens made in Italy. If I could I would think about trading in my home to live in this room. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
