Style over substance

Feb 26th, 2020

Whilst boasting interior design that is stylish yet comfortable and supposedly offering a unique “all inclusive” approach this hotel falls short on the basic fundamentals. Initial elation at finding a boutique non-corporate type hotel near head office in Paris was quickly diminished by the lack of simple requirements such as hot room service food, a working air con, in room drinking water and with only very basic breakfast choices. Despite repeated requests for the air con and the room phone to be fixed there was zero response or action taken. To add insult to injury on the rainy morning of day 2 of my 3 day stay I was told a taxi would not come to take me to the office (15 min walk away) as the distance was too short - okay I understood this was not the hotels fault but when I asked if I could borrow an umbrella the answer was NO but we can sell you one for 30 euros - a large branded golfing size which is not suitable to take on the plane home! So OKKO - you can keep your so called style and in the future I will stay at the Radisson Blu - at least they know how to run a hotel and realise that their guests are their business. Well done!

A rather unusual place. It somehow fills a gap between a hillside and the train station. But the interior, lounge, rooms alike are lovely, the service is excellent. What needs some work is signage - it’s not that easy to find the entrance. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I would love to stay here again!

This hotel was a bit out of the way from the major Paris tourist destinations, but was close to public transportation so it was not an issue. The staff was helpful and our room was clean and comfortable. We loved the breakfast and evening food & drinks. I would love to return on my next trip to Paris! (The bathroom situation is odd, so beware if you’re staying with someone you wouldn’t want to see you in there) TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Had 2 rooms n stayed 5 nights. Check in was easy n the young man knew English thank God for that n really greatfull that he helped book a car park near by with Zen parking which was all in French n he did it for us very patiently. Rooms clean but designer is not in sync with reality. Hardly any space for storage. We lived out of suitcase. No space in shower to keep your own toiletries. Shower floor level with washroom floor so water flows through. Hand held shower at chest level making it difficult to shower because not everyone uses overhead showers unless washing hair .toiletries not provided u have to ask for it at reception makes it very inconvenient. For 2 continuous days we had to keep asking for shower gel because they never refilled the bottle in the shower- cost cutting to extreme .Breakfast is basic. They bring 1 bread at a time while everyone is waiting. 1 day in rush they brought half baked bread so we just had yoghurt n coffee .at least had good coffee.only 2 cereal not worth giving 2nd look.have to boil own eggs with only 7 or 8 places so everyone waiting in a line for 9 mins to get theirs otherwise someone takes yours like it happened with us .The best part was having free drinks 24/7 - coffee, tea ,n soft drinks which was of good quality though the snacks were nothing to be desired. Location is ok close to transport but due to strike was very inconvenient. McDonald's is next door n a few restaurants around 100 to 300 mts away . Despite all it's fault I won't mind staying again.
