One of my favorite hotels

I travel a lot for work; over 25,000 miles across the U.S. this year, and things were a bit slower than usual for some months on account of Covid. But this year there was no place I enjoyed staying more than the Old Santa Fe Inn. Located in the historic downtown, the hotel's architecture and décor invoked old Santa Fe without seeming trite or cliched. The rooms themselves are lovingly decorated, the beds comfy, and my room had a fireplace as well. You could not ask for a better location; you are in walking distance of the capitol building, the plaza, and a whole trove of art galleries, shops, museums, and restaurants. This isn't a generic hotel; there is clearly much care given in making guest's stays enjoyable, and that is no doubt due to the staff. In particular, the manager, Amy, was especially helpful. She accommodated all my travels needs, made me feel welcomed, and provided terrific recommendations for restaurants and places to visit in the area (and she also has a great sense of humor). The housekeeping staff is excellent as well; the room was meticulously cleaned, which in times like these is more important than ever. Whether you are just passing through, or are on vacation, there simply isn't a better place to stay in Santa Fe. It's rare to find a place with a great location, quality staff and service, lovely rooms, and affordable pricing, but somehow the Old Santa Fe Inn does just that. I've travelled through Santa Fe many times, but going forward this is the only place I'll stay when visiting. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Vacation Road Trip

One of the top two stops on our 3 week road trip vacation. (Santa Fe, Estes Park, the Grand Tetons. Had an upstairs room with a fireplace, rustic but oh so nice room and excellent staff. Highly recommended, and lived up to all the hype. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Very pleased with my stay

I recently stayed 4 nights at this motel. It is wonderfully situated within walking distance to the Plaza, farmers market, restaurants and shopping. Due to Covid restrictions, the motel wasn't offering breakfast at the time of my stay. However, there was hearty Starbucks coffee available in the room which was delicious with the baked goods picked up from the Sage Bakery, also within walking distance. The room was clean and very comfortable for the two of us. There was also plenty of free parking available. Overall, this motel is excellent value for a stay in Santa Fe. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The hotel is the heart of the downtown ( 5 min walk). room was very clean and comfortable. I did appreciate the Coffee and water in the room. Would use them again. The only negative thing I will say is " There was a 10.00 Hotel charge on my bill " ?? I called when I noticed the charge to inquire and was informed it was for the clean towels, coffee etc !! First time ever I encountered this. Just tell upfront or add 10 to the cost of the room Nobody likes feeling like they been had. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The Old Santa Fe Inn is so conveniently located within walking distance of most Santa Fe Plaza spots. Also there is no parking fee. It's an old motel so most rooms open up to the central parking lot. The Queen bed room, though small, had everything I needed including a microwave and minifridge. The hotel has lots of character but if it were full I imagine it's quite noisy. For the price though it cannot be beat. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
