Great in many ways, but....

Dec 15th, 2019

The apartment on Svietojanska is like a goodlooking husband; first you can't believe your luck in having landed on such a prince, but on a longer acquintance small things begin to get on your nerves. The great thing about the apartment is the location in the old town. The apartment is also well equipped and suited well for our group of three mature ladies. However, the apartment needs more careful maintenance. The most annoying thing was the bed that creaked disturbingly when one as much as moved their foot. A careful inspection showed that one board was broken. Another point is the toilet door handle that was loose, the same as the shower holder. One really doesn't want to spend their holidays fixing little problems. We reported a few problems on the first night and were promised that they'd be seen to, but nothing happened. By the way, we finally found the extra blanket under the bed on the morning of our departure A light sleeper may also find the noise from the streets disturbing. Considering this, it's strange that you are warned even before your arrival not to bang the door, but this might have something to do with the upstairs neigbour, who we met one night. Maybe the problem is in her nerves; banging, however, could be easily stopped by using insulator tape. In conclusion, if the small problems were fixed, the apartment would be as good as the first impression, and truly excellent value for money TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Cosy, Clean & Spacious

Nov 4th, 2019

We were checked in by a lovely guy who gave us the keys and information for our apartment (Swietojanska St.) and offered us a pre-paid taxi to the apartment, which we accepted. We let ourselves into the apartment no problem. It's called a studio but had a large living room (with a comfortable sofa bed), kitchen, separate bedroom & bathroom. It was very clean, there were extra pillows/blankets/duvet provided as well as tea and coffee in the kitchen. We had no problems using the wifi, TV or heating. Check out is very easy and the reception very kindly let us leave our luggage there for a few hours until our flight, as well as printing my dad's boarding pass, which was very much appreciated. We would definitely stay here again next time we visit Warsaw. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A good experience overall

Oct 30th, 2019

I visited here in October 2019 for a long weekend in Warsaw with my other half and was pleased with our booking. Our apartment was on ‘Piwna’ just around the corner from the main Old Town Square. Only one flight of stairs up and fairly easy instructions given to us before hand to access the stairwell using a code and the key box outside of the apartment, again using a code. Getting yourself into the apartment we had was a ‘do it yourself’ job with no reception to hand you the keys, however we were promptly contacted the next day via email to check that we had got in ok and we were happy with the accommodation. The apartment was cleaned to a really good standard and was simple yet modern and really spacious. There was a kitchen available which was handy as we bought some cereal to make our own cheap breakfasts. Tea and coffee was supplied which was a nice touch. Shower was good and powerful- some shampoo and body wash available which was helpful. Very little noise heard from other apartments in the building. Street a little noisy early on in evening but quietens down at a very reasonable time when the restaurants shut. Loads of restaurants within walking distance and Royal Castle at the end of the street if you come out of apartment and turn right. Some good paper guides to Poland and Warsaw in the apartment listing all the attractions was very helpful. WiFi worked really well. Overall very positive experience and would recommend to other travellers for great location and cleanliness. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great apartment, at least the one I got

Oct 3rd, 2019

Reading these reviews, sounds like it’s a bit of a crap shoot regarding the quality of the apartment you’ll be getting. Apparently I lucked out; mine was beautiful, and in a stunning location. I would totally live there if I got transferred to Warsaw. It’s true that the whole check-in process was a bit of a pain, since the office really isn’t in old town, but a good 20 minute walk away. I was told to look for the entrance between 2 restaurants ... I didn’t see either of those restaurants (out of business?), but I found the address. I remember it’s near a Kebab King. Then you go through the gate, into a back entrance, up a flight of stairs and finally to the office. I got there before my apartment was ready, but they allowed me to leave my luggage. I went back later to check in and they arranged a pre-paid taxi to the apartment for me, which eased the inconvenience a bit. The taxi couldn’t go all the way to the apartment’s doorstep (no cars allowed on that street), but I was given clear directions on how to walk there and access the apartment, and I had no issues. On the final day, I had to leave earlier than their set office hours, so I was told to just leave the keys in the mailbox. I can’t speak for others, but I had a good experience. Just the location was ok

May 31st, 2019

Wow what an experience this whole thing was.. finding the office to then finding the location of the apt.. then literally dragging your luggage up steep hill in dark looking for this apartment. This was a horrible experience. This was a lot of stress and up and down before you an actually get to the apartment. First you must take a taxi to the office to collect the keys..it's was not an easy thing taking luggage up 3 flights of stairs and back down just to collect the keys and the guy at the desk had such an attitude.. seem he dont understand most people have just flew maybe a day more to get there and are tired. No empathy whatsoever ..then he is grumbling something about people not reading the fine prints about picking keys first.. After collecting the keys you go back down with luggage and a map and have to find another taxi and then go on a wild goose chase for another 20 minutes drive looking for this place..(please people if you are alone or with children try not to arrive at night) Where the taxi drops you is at the bottom of a stony road which is no where close to the apartment..then it's another 15 minutes walk on foot up hill dragging your suitcases on a very narrow side walk That is barely lit.. this was serious traumatizing.. I broke one of my shoe heels on the horrible road. You get up to the top of the hill and then you are seriously at wits end which apartment it is , you have to ask everyone for help... a real maze. You get to the apartment..it's fairly big and clean but the bathroom for the entire stay smelled so horrible like sewer or smelly damp clothes. The best thing about this apartment is the location when walking the opposite direction to go into Old town and restaurant and stores are fairly close by. Would I stay here a second time?
